  1. Considering he's played half of the PBruins games, and that they have a history of splitting their goalies at that level at pretty close to 50/50 the last 4 seasons, he shouldn't be surprised??
  2. If they both aren't on that team, something is up.
  3. Really? We are going to turn this into a "bash Hakstol" discussion? Yes, let's hear from coaches on this topic. FS4L, Hakstol was also a defenseman when he played. What's your take that?
  4. Speaking of ONJ...
  5. The easiest option to move your tickets (sell or give away) is by logging into your "My North Dakota Account" at https://oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/m/und/EN/apimobile/?l=EN&team=und#/login and emailing the tickets. They can be scanned right on smart phones at the REA or printed. No extra fees yet for that. One huge minus for the ticket exchange is that the money after the convenience fee goes into your account and you don't get the cash in hand.
  6. Highlights from last night (need UND Insider acct to watch) http://www.undsports.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?id=4781907&db_oem_id=13500 A couple Hammerisms: "Gardner with good net front" "Johnson slides it to Poolman, he's got a big rocket"
  7. Yeah, I'm bringing up an old thread. I'd like to see an intro video someday made to this song.

    ouch
  9. As long as there are refs on the ice for this game, MN has a chance.
  10. I don't know where we'd be if timing had been different with Ben Jacobson. Maybe he takes over UND and coaches here until he's old and gray?? Maybe Ben coaches at UND and moves on to bigger and better anyway (UNI)? Or maybe he never had a desire to be the head coach at UND? I always have felt that UND let Ben get away. This is the guy that UND athletics admin has to pursue. http://www.msumdragons.com/coaches.aspx?rc=558 Don't let this guy get away.
  11. "Where's your walker?" <clap> <clap> <clap clap clap>
  12. In Donnie's mind, it's just not healthy for college hockey for the B1G (face it, for Minnesota) to no longer get the pick of any kid that they want. Other schools are coming into his recruiting turf and picking off kids they never used to have a chance at and that may push back some others they have already recruited to another year of juniors. He doesn't want all this recruiting competition for the kids that are "sure things". He wants to force these schools back out of his recruiting ground by taking away this "stockpiling" recruiting he says these other schools are doing. Gone are the days where the U of M can just pick their incoming class from Model Camp and the MN Mr. Hockey finalists.
  13. I didnt get that negative a tone from his interview. He did also say that he likes these older players in college hockey. I thought his answers were more of the careful variety. He's in a spot where he has to support the stance taken by his league, but I didn't get the sense that he exactly supports it. He chose his words very carefully.
  14. Lolz...
  15. It's obvious that the FCS playoffs should be NDSU vs. whatever team that NDSU deems a worthy challenger. One game, winner take all. Why delay the inevitable?
  16. Good grief. Have heard this chant in Grand Forks when the SCSU MEN's hockey team takes the ice. No cheerleaders to be found. I may have even laughed out loud at hearing it, as did my wife, who is indeed a WOMAN. We have indeed become overly-sensitized. Of all the chants that we hear and have heard over the years, this is the one that get's its own thread? "Eff the Gophers" (or Bison, or whoever else) "Give me a C!"... "Defense Defense Defense" "Give me an O!"... "Teamwork Teamwork Teamwork"
  17. Up until these guys got to UND, they were playing in leagues where their team played at least 60 games a season. And prior to their Junior teams, many of them were likely every-other-shift guys. 10 or so games into a season they are definitely not anywhere near "overworked".
  18. Why not be like the Minnesota High School League and have ALL the teams make the playoffs? No surprises that way.
  19. "B. A." was already taken.
  20. If he's going to be the best EVER, might be finding him some carries... Or risk that a talent that great becomes disgruntled and moves on.
  21. When you factor in that NDSU has not lost a recruiting battle for anyone that they wanted in the last eleventy three years, I'm sure Santiago wasn't a good "fit" there. Besides, Bruce Anderson, according to Phil Hansen, has shown signs that he could become the best RB that NDSU has EVER put on the field. And that's without even having a 100 yard game yet.
  22. I think I'm going to cut back on Boeser's goal total in hopes that he stays beyond this season. I also think Schmaltz having 15 assists at this point is unreal. Would like to knock that back to 8 or 9, again in the hopes that he stays beyond this year.
  23. Third stringer is L. Beau Padz.
