The NCAA thinks it's a branch of government. Heck, there are people out there that believe the NCAA is a branch of government. Reality: The NCAA can not create law. Reality: The NCAA has no law enforcement authority. Heck, the NCAA runs more like ... well ... organized crime: intimidation, blackmail, claiming authority where they have none, knee-capping some (Alaska), ignoring others (North Carolina). It's over a decade old, but I think the NCAA would still make this list if it was created today: http://www.businessweek.com/stories/2002-12-08/the-best-little-monopoly-in-america

I wonder what set off the plagiarism detector ... in each paper.

Scott Owens is CC's Chris Mussman?

McFeely is a guy that makes me take past advice into action. The advice was received long ago from a man who worked at KFYR Bismarck and he said every radio has two knobs: one to change channels, one to turn it off. When McFeely comes on I use one of the radio knobs.

I wonder what would happen if you'd drop those two essays into something like Grammarly.com (a free plagarism detection and grammar checking website for teachers)? I wonder if anyone has done that ...

OK, so UND won't be playing in the post-season this year, but this may well be a playoff game for NAU. If NAU loses, they're firmly on the bubble ... or worse. So, there's something to play for.

Of course I had to go and say "no lower than #3" yesterday and here they come in at #4 in both of those just to make me wrong. ... Oh well ...

Society? People's integrity to "one person, one vote"? Respect for the law?

The most important thing UNI did yesterday? Remind the world that no one is undefeatable. Some of the aura is gone.

Football is won and lost at the line of scrimmage. I stand by my wish list. Average backs (running or defensive) look good when playing with great lines.

Recruiting? I'd rather find a way to clone the late 1980s era Washington O like (Jacoby, Grimm, et al) or the 1970s era Raiders O line (Shell, Upshaw, et al). And while we're at it, can I get the '85 Bears D line (Fridge, McMichael, et al) or the Purple People eaters (Marshall, Eller, Page)? Give me one O line and one D line from above and I'd call it good. Not too picky, am I?

First it was WSU, Montana, and now UNI putting ways to slow down the NDSU offense on tape; now, there's tape on how to attack the NDSU defense courtesy UNI. What I noticed was the UNI D line staying in their lanes and not allowing Wentz to scramble (breaking pass coverages), forcing him to stand in and pass (against coverage). So what's the story on UNH and Coastal Carolina? Flash and dash teams? Isn't UNH traditionally power ground game?

I predict no lower than #3 in either poll.

So you all cleaned your "combination AK-57 Uzi radar laser triple barrel double scoped heat-seeking shotgun" but no "thirty point buck".

So, who's #1 in the FCS poll this week?

What network for CC/Miami (or you watching on NCHC.tv)?

Michigan State up 2-0 at UNH on FCS Pacific. There is nobody in the Whittemore Center at UNH. What happened? They used to pack that joint.

Portland State Football - "must be fiscally self-sufficient"

Worked for me but ... try this http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2014/11/07/doyel-indiana-state-facing-a-football-free-future/18283525/ If not, Google "Doyel: Indiana State facing a football-free future?"
