If dagies hadn't shut it down one of the other moderators would have. Very poor form.

4-4 Toews The call from the WLS radio guy? "Holy crap!" <-- direct quote

That was a massive run: Spring 1997: WBB and MIH Spring 1998: WBB Spring 1999: WBB Spring 2000: MIH Fall 2001: FB That's six titles in a five year window. And that doesn't count the near misses in the window. Those are some mighty and lofty expectations to set and meet.

Sundogs will forever be linked to the folks that started this whole mess. It is divisive on that point alone and must be summarily rejected on that point alone.
-
Uh, a nickname should be unifying per the committee's own criteria. Didn't we just come from an allegedly "divisive" name and now we should pick something that each person "could project their own meaning on to" ... good or bad. That in itself is divisive, not unifying.

This far and nothing from "The Tubes"?

Little known fact: After starring in this video, MafiaMan kept the suit. And the color name really is "banana".

Pretty sure Mafia is running this one.

Title Nine: Our Prong is Bigger Than Your Prong

Moderator's note: Most of this was pulled out of a different thread and put here. If it doesn't really flow, that's why. And, I moved this thread out of Football to a more appropriate category. -
Done (as well as I could). I tried to keep the football related things here but had to use some on-the-fly judgments.

If logic was involved in any of this, would we be here.

"Girls" sports? OK ... Last time I looked athletic aid at NDSU was skewed more than 60/40 toward the men. Participation is 68/32 (288/129) toward men. But the general population at NDSU is 54/46 men. It's a good thing NDSU uses prong three because they are nowhere near compliance under prong one. -
Sharp can't end it on a pure breakaway.

When you're basically playing four defensemen you're going to look tired.

The EKG strapped to the Blackhawks chest just beeped. I was sure they were flatlined.

That two minute run by the Ducks may just put them in the Cup finals.

Chicago radio guy about pooped himself when Seabrook just scored.

To whom do I send the invoice for this service?

Then they're wrong. If you know Brad Berry you know what people call him.

To change it up I'm listening to the WLS (Chicago) audio on iHeart Radio.

Computer issues for a whole month? I thought the %gobc was well connected.

But that doesn't answer the football question Volley asked: What compensates for the tier one football treatment at NDSU? And then there's wresting (another mens program balanced by ... ?). Johnboy: Did you know there are 288 mens and just 129 womens athletes at NDSU? -

I don't see where the tiering approach applies based on which prong you use. (I admit I just quickly glanced. Third period of ANA@CHI Game 3 is starting.) -

There's only one problem with your theory: WIH is not as elite as you claim. If it is elite, so is UND WBB. Their total expenses are within $150k of each other ($1.3M vs $1.17M). My plan to pare back and stay proportional? Cut WIH, WS&D, MS&D, baseball (none required by Big Sky) Expenses: $1302k, $452k, $313k, $513k, --> W: $1754k; M: $826k Grants (rounded): 18, 12, 5, 6.5 --> W: 30; M: 11.5 Participants: 27, 25, 23, 32 --> W: 52; M: 52 In my idea Coach Brew and the WT&F* coaches would be giddy as they'd benefit as monies previously intended for WIH would need to come their way (proportionality). Same story for grants: WT&F and WSoc would benefit, but some mens teams would pick up some help Participants? I couldn't have planned that any better. That would put UND down to 17 sports; it wouldn't affect any Big Sky required sports. It would move current budgets around to help out in areas where the help is needed (womens non-revenue sports). *When I say T&F here I mean IT&F, OT&F, and CC as a conglomerate -
I was thinking "DI era" (1948 and on). Yes, Joe Brown busts that.
