    Dude, I'm talking just logo design, not politics. (You knew that but just couldn't resist, could ya.) That geometric logo is everything that people say is wrong with this one: no color, boring, uninspiring, amorphous, etc. Yet it's well regarded (dare I say loved) for some reason ... or another.

    The new Ralph will never be as good as the old Ralph ... The new (Brien) logo isn't the Blackhawk logo so it's no good*. What changed for both? Time. Exposure. Experiences. *Contrary to what many will tell you, the initial reception to the Brien logo by quite a few was cool at best.

    I agree. I think the biggest thing we'll see is a cleaned-up and more finished logo (like your avatar).

    You may believe that, but almost assuredly what the final-final logo will be will look like a cleaned up and finished version of what was rolled out last week. I could be completely wrong (and completely surprised) but I don't see SME and the administration stepping away to something completely different. Why? Look at the usage already.

    Their 2014-15 season was when most of these recruits committed I'd guess. Call it the Eichel effect.

    I talked to someone today that didn't like the new logo. I showed them my avatar. They liked that. I said it was cut from the logo. They didn't believe me. Are there folks out there so focused on the color foreground that they can't see the hawk in the negative white space of the logo? (This isn't a logo question; this is a vision and perception question.)

    True or False: The new logo could've been rolled out as a direct gift from the Almighty with the cure to cancer and the answer to middle east peace written on it and there would still be about 25% of people that would hate it.

    Translated: SME rolled something out and let the folks here give critique and test drive some final touches. Any takers that the hawk shows up on an outline of the State in the next SME release?
