NORTH DAKOTA vs. BC - Saturday Gameday MSG ********
The Sicatoka replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
OK, I was in Alerus Center at the time so I didn't see the first two periods. Where's the video of this human rights violation that Rhett Gardner perpetrated and that will surely have the UN Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International putting Rhett on watch lists for the rest of his natural life. (Please detect that I first heard about it in a text from a BC fan. ) -

I'm with RD17 (a couple posts back). This is another step in the process to not only building a team, but a perennially successful program.
-
Mentioning that ... UND got a bad spot and had to punt. UR fumbled the punt. Stuff happens.
-
That would be a huge step for the program. If a true freshman plays let it be because you want to put him on the field because he will succeed, not because you have to because there are no other options.

There must've been "a few" UND fans there. The BC Heights acknowledged "the large contingent from Grand Forks, N.D. screamed louder than hustle and bustle of even New York City." http://bcheights.com/sports/hockey/mens-hockey/2016/north-dakota-bc-college-hockey-showdown/ BC doesn't acknowledge anybody does anything better than them.

Per NWS Bismarck ( http://www.weather.gov/bis/ ) for the next 48 hours:
-
BC fans don't travel well. To them, having to play in a regional in Providence or Manchester is having to go way, way west. I'll honestly believe 2/3 of the attendance was UND fans.
-
Side bar: Good Lord people. The old nickname and "Hawks" are both mono-syllabic. It is ... Let's Go Hawks! <-- three beats not Let's go Haw-awks <-- four beats The four beat amateurs trying to get a chant going Saturday v. Michigan State were pitiful.
-
How about just late regular season attendance for that matter.
-
What was posted shows five returning starters on the offensive line. That's a start. Now, tell me about the front seven of the defense. The LB losses concern me.
-
Tell me about the offensive line, I'll tell you about the season.
-
There are reports of more UND fans than that at the game ... in Madison Square Garden.
-
Masterfully played. Bravo!

Having admitted that there was a moment when doubt crept into my mind ... There's our problem. We, as a fan base, doubt. When NDSU fans were up 21-0 over San Diego did even a single one of them imagine a scenario where NDSU could lose? Yet, up 24-7 we admit we had doubts. That's a mindset that needs to change ... everywhere: on the sidelines, in the fans. From now on when UND goes up 24-7 my only question is going to be, "Why the < bleep > isn't it 31-7 yet? Let's go."

Allow me to channel my inner "PCM": Anyone can say anything.

When you have a resource like Santiago, who can run and catch, why isn't he ... - slotted and used on the jet sweep - set wide and used on the tunnel or bubble screen - returning punts I'm not saying all the time, you still need to put him in the backfield, but doing those things with 22 only makes space for 5 and 28.

And one of their greatest detriments. Their closest road game is 2500 miles.

I hope they DON'T rely on political connections. That's what wrong here. First, that is already an energy corridor. That water is under the bridge (see what I did there? ). The engineering science says keep all the like stuff together. That area is already monitored for pipeline leaks ... from the first pipeline put in there back in the 1980s! That's the ... wait for it ... science. Next, I don't want ETP to go political. I want them to go legal. Quite literally, sue the Army Corps for reneging on their permit approval. But, do it by naming personally everyone involved in the decision, all the way to the top. If those people, individually, can't prove their decision was sound to the objective process they are liable for abuse, and corruption, and maybe fraud. How about bankrupting them personally and them spending a few days as a ward of the State. The catch? None of that will happen. What will happen is it'll go political. On or about 1500 hours Eastern on 20 January 2016, an Executive Order will come down permitting that pipeline. It'll become just the latest political mud pie that Side X will throw into the face of Side Y.

Staying apolitical, ever since the FBI started doing interviews on the Saturday of the 4th of July weekend. They wouldn't do either (work Sat or Sun) for a true private citizen.
-
The reverse call on 1st and 10 on the UR side of the field when already moving the ball well with dives and off tackle plays on first down. Instead of having 2nd and 8 it was 2nd and 18.
-
As previously stated, the NCAA produced that video. It was shown at every site by rule of the tournament coordinator (the NCAA).
-
I put NDSU's experience at EWU in 2010 as an experience that hardened their resolve going forward. I expect this experience to do the same for UND.

The owner of that Twitter feed is clearly someone with need for greater substance in their existence.

Key positions we're a couple players short at: - I worry about LB depth going into next season. Jade Lawrence had better be ready to see a lot of snaps along with O'Brein, Rodgers, and Disterhaupt. - The secondary (outside of 19 and 8) needs some serious competition and guys who want to be out there. - The team can't be one deep at QB. Honest question: Is the recruit from the MSP metro good enough to be the top back-up as a true freshman if need be? - The knock on the WRs is speed. There was this dude named "Jerry Rice" who wasn't all that fast but he played fast and it worked. Take note. This team should be a year wiser in some key positions. That should balance out what appears to be a tougher schedule (AMMV).
