  1. It's mis-seeded. 1 should play the 8/9 winner. 2 should play the 7/10 winner. 3 should play the 6/11 winner. 4 should play the 5/12 winner.
  2. " ... stay in your lane." #loserthink "Loserthink is about unproductive ways of thinking." You're in the mental trap of "sunk capital": We've spent it so even if it's not working we have to keep throwing good money after bad. Instead, why not risk a change to something that might work instead of staying with something we know isn't working.
  3. The better question is: Does Steve-O still step on Tim's calls? ... Oh, ... wait, ... "his legs", .... nevermind.
  4. Because what is being done now is not working when you're giving up 28.5 and nearly 400 per. Stay in your lane (aka stay with what you know) is #loserthink (courtesy Scott Adams). When is it time to add to the knowledge and skill stack? Now.
  5. It's both: - do you have the scheme for the players - do you have the players for the scheme To me the question is: What's the right scheme to play in the MVFC and can we get the players for that.
  6. Still deciding what's better: - the first career goal by Ethan Frisch - his on-ice reaction - reading his lips on the bench
  7. I'm guessing all the SiouxSports.com "members" of this "band" qualify ( @Oxbow6, @Blackheart, @Sioux-cia @MafiaMan ). Then again, I believe I qualify as well ... @PCMand @Rick? Heck yeah. They were around when pigskin was invented. Not the game. Pigs, with skins.
  8. Vontaze Burfict on line one for you ... https://www.12up.com/posts/6030622-the-complete-list-of-vontaze-burfict-s-suspensions-and-fines
  9. I see "generational shifts" coming in UND coaching in say the next 5 or so years. In football, the "Thomas/Lennon/Schweigert" consortium (1980/1990s based) will transition to something more 2000/2010s (DF/BH/JS?). I see the same for hockey, moving from 1980s Gino/Blais/Hak/Bubs to more 2000s (KG?)
  10. "Start fast. Finish strong." Camp t-shirts anyone?
  11. The helmet has become a weapon. And that's how it's being used. (See: Clowney on Wentz) If the NFL was serious about player safety they'd eliminate all poly/plastics from the uniform, as well as only allowing steel on the soles of shoes. Next, require "wrap-up, control to the ground" tackling. No more "run through and blow them up" stuff. Did I just say go to leather or carbon-fiber helmets and a return to tacking fundamentals? Yup. I did. And I predict concussion would go down.
  12. Sounds familiar ... like UAH's second goal on Jan 3 ...
  13. Remember Canisius. Act accordingly.
  14. ... and you're running the bench so Bubs can have a couple nights off?
  15. North Dakota? Hitting free throws? < faints >
  16. I hope the "36 #PinkeStrong" helmet stickers (circular 1" white sticker, green font) are already on order for next season.
  17. These things happen.
  18. Well ... I guess I've used my quota for 2020.
  19. So y'all are volunteering a guy to: play a 10AM (local) game, get on a flight (if he can get a flight), fly 1/3 of the way around the world, and play a game at 7PM (local) the next day*. I wouldn't sign off on that plan. *His body clock is still in the old time zone. So 7PM local would be after midnight to him.
  20. When SUI beat FIN my reaction was ... uh-oh. Now I know why.
  21. Probably should have been.
  22. Be one of the sixteen. The rest is details. First things first. Control what’s yours to control.
  23. I'm not believing that. I'm pretty sure some of the UND Med School faculty make more than what that shows.
