  1. Personally, I'm surprised Grant didn't "lose an edge" because of that tug on the stick and go down hard with all his weight on one knee ... on something. You know ... whatever was under foot. Like the ice or whatever.
  2. You know you're big time when PCM covers you. http://blogs.und.edu/und-today/2020/01/lights-action-camera-eat/ And now you know what your Super Bowl pre-game plan are.
  3. Apparently I'm the unlucky < bleep > here who is salaried exempt and doesn't get paid to travel on Sunday to end up still working a 50+ hour week.
  4. Off to school with you!
  5. Did someone say "Rock Ridge"? They should've been the Rock Ridge Johnsons.
  6. Why do folks worry about bracketology today when we know it won't look anything like this when reality comes out?
  7. Consultants bill by the hour. Subtle yet finite difference.
  8. One more thought: Other schools don't fret about having underclassmen (freshmen, sophomores) step onto the field as 1's or 2's. Why do we have this mindset that a QB (or other position) isn't ready until they are an upperclassman? It's about the player and their readiness, and not some letters in the "Class" column of the roster.
  9. Clearly, with a collegiate start (and win) he has the inside track. What he does with it will be telling about him and his competition.
  10. If you're going to tally student-athlete time spent on "athletic pursuits" (with our without coaching), up to and including travel time and time away from campus for competition, that is fine. Come up with that number. But I'll argue the "compensation" value should not just include the "scholarship" or "FCOA" number, but the total cost to the university per athlete (meaning travel and lodging and road meals, and the cost of game and training facilities, and coaches) costs. What did it "cost" the student-athlete; what did sponsoring the student-athlete "cost" the university?
  11. Now that is both strategic and tactical.
  12. I swear I saw a UND advertisement during the UMD@SCSU Saturday game. I found it to be both tactical and strategic.
  13. DU@OMA going to 3x3 OT
  14. The 19-26-10 line strikes again. The GWG tip by Smith is exactly what’s missing in the second half: green (or black) in front of their goalie and scoring from 10 feet or less.
  15. Curly, Shemp, and Curly Joe had other commitments.
  16. Step One when it comes to not giving up PPG is ... don’t put them on the power play!
  17. The salute is to the fans for supporting the team.
  18. No, SCSU had a home sweep.
  19. How about we quit spotting teams a goal or two.
  20. Update: It’s UND 2 Toronto 0 as the goals are Caggiula and Toews. Wonder how Hakstol on the Toronto bench feels ...
  21. If your stomach can’t take this, CHI@TOR (Toews makes it 2-0) on NHL Network and VGK@MON is free game on NHL App.
  22. SCSU scores on a tip with 1:30 to play. Plus an ENG 2-0 SCSU final
  23. Business suits it is.
  24. https://scsuhuskies.com/news/2020/1/3/scsu-mens-hockey-jersey-in-game-auction-set-for-jan-18.aspx Matching grey sock but their standard black breezers.
