Tommy seemed to hit Maag for 50 and Belquist on a flea flicker for 48. He also made a great decision to not force a ball the play before the 17-3 lead. He made two long throws and something more important, knowing when to not throw and live to run another play.

Could "outdoors" be working in SDSU's favor?

I've been using the "hockey benchmark": - hockey lost one pre-tourney (SLU) - hockey lost two (Notre Dame, UMich) in the round of 16 - hockey lost four players (UMass) in the semis FCS is behind pace as they lost no one pre-tourney.

NDSU has a QB on the bench that played fall season at an FBS and is ineligible for spring. He's better than what they have now. That's a big part of the expectations.

And the fans of FCS all cringe.

You are allowed to go over the 18 limit, but many schools don't have the budget to do so in these most curious times.

Navy has been the longest rumored. Lindenwood seems the most real as they are recruiting players. Lots of the top of ACHA are always rumored, but there's a big jump administratively and funding-wise from club to NCAA varsity.

They enjoy it! They are Chaos Masters. What's a Chaos Master? One that thrives in chaos, and they derive their power from it. And knowing that, they make more chaos because they know they thrive and others are thrown off by it. (I've worked with a couple people that behave that way and it's no fun if chaos is not your thing.)

I'd say the focus has to be a third goaltender right now because the rest is reasonably in focus. Schlossman in a recent article "speculated" that Johnson and Hedquist each need another year in juniors. (He also speculated on interest in Calder so he seems to "speculate" well.) The question is are they looking for a two or a three. I say that because all season Karl Goehring was saying that Harrison Feeney would be ready if disaster (goalie-geddon?) came and he was needed. Might Feeney be the projected two in the staff's mind? If that were the case the staff would be more willing to bring in Johnson as the three I'd think. So that leaves me to wonder ... and wait. Should be fun.
