Bubba is not AD material. He'd be better off in a fundraising role. Frankly, the track record of coach to AD at UND isn't great (Thomas, Gasparini). College athletics today is a business. And the AD is running people and budgets. I'd rather a business minded person with some athletic background as the AD.
