  1. Yes, an entity which by its very existence, and by its public tax filings (Form 990), that exists "for the benefit of UND Athletics" (from Form 990). That entity can do things for UND Athletics that (State entity) UND Athletics can not do. As a private entity it can war chest monies for future endeavors, it can contract without public bid process, it can quickly add and reduce staff as needed without going through state hiring processes. And as a non-profit for the benefit of a university it remains tax exempt. And as a non-profit should they be shown to not be living up to their charter the IRS crashes in upon them. If you're saying it was set up all wrong by Ralph, and Earl Strinden, do tell how you'd do it better. PS - If you don't like 990 filers benefitting UND you must also hate the UND Alumni Foundation and the UND Aerospace Foundation.
  2. Don't quote me, but top six in a 3-6 winner plays 2, 4-5 winner plays 1 format to give top two some advantage for winning during regular season. I believe Omaha hosts as last season's regular season champ.
  3. There's very little televised college hockey tonight besides the Goophies < spits > and tOSU. I'd drive to Fargo and watch USHL but it's Sioux City with no UND recruits. Meh. Other good (free, yeah, I'm cheap) streaming options would be appreciated. Otherwise I'll be watching NDHS FB playoffs on BekTV. https://www.collegehockeynews.com/schedules/
  4. BC scored first and gave up five unanswered.
  5. Thompson? He was a hack that should've never seen the ice again after that!
  6. Will walk-ups be able to do the family (4 stubs for $20) deal?

  8. Frisch. (Do I get a second-round bye if I say "on the power play"?)
  9. The agreement you are so fond of referencing applies to not only football, but also volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, and hockey. (I have the document courtesy of @nodak651.)
  10. An aquatic center at Wellness allows them to use the Hyslop site for a STEM building.
  11. Safe assumption.
  12. A man executing well planned strategery! I'll have a Tito's and tonic, with lime, if you're buying.
  13. Anyone needing some light reading I suggest: https://campus.und.edu/facilities-management/_files/docs/2022-master-plan-supplemental-planning/2022-sasaki-site-planning-updated.pdf Page 5/20 of the PDF (8/9 of brochure) lays down a nice vision that's being implemented. Lots of fun stuff here too: https://campus.und.edu/facilities-management/planning-process.html
  14. Aren't you up past your bed time?
  15. He returned to KOVC to be what we used to call "The Voice in the Alley" ... OK, OK, "The Voice of the Valley". I'll use https://www.newsdakota.com/ as a solid source also.
  16. @Johnny Five: Do you use multiple devices? I'd constantly have to be logging in because I use a phone, a tablet (OK, two, one personal, one work), a PC, and ... yeah, my fridge has a web browser too (don't ask). It's like you can only be logged into one device.
  17. Having seen Bek, and resided in Hancock for a while also, they were due ... last century. Surely Squires and (the legend that is) Walsh are not far behind.
  18. Now, back to volleyball, ... Road. Down 0-2. And come back? Preliminary estimates indicate this Tupac hire was pretty good.
  19. Could it be that from the first weekend of October to the first weekend of April the hockey team is nearly 90% booked on weekends (home or road)? And they do travel Thu for a Fri/Sat road weekend.
  20. With the Caden White injury, and the associated questions of depth at ILB, I kind of wish they'd have left Jack Ihry at ILB instead of moving him to TE.
  21. Tearing down dilapidated buildings took nearly nine digits of deferred maintenance off the books.
  22. I wondered why they pounded that particular shoe on the table so robustly during the grand opening sessions. Now we know.
  23. I prefer not for another five years ... And trust me, that name is a misnomer. If you know you know. I'm sure he's heard that a time or two.
  24. UMD got a surprise opening weekend, ... this is fourth weekend, ... not the same.
  25. A sign of the apocalypse ... at least in Fargo. https://www.wdayradionow.com/news/local-news/55848-even-bison-football-is-on-the-table-for-review-as-ndsu-president-david-cook
