I don't think they'll bite at my salary requirements the way it is. They only have a $4 billion endowment at UW. Just make sure gfhockey picks up your tabs. Best offer.

Even if you get to be like his pseudo-boss ... Attention Posters: I have a QC opening on the staff.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

He's written about 5 being with the team but having an upper body issue that's kept him away all season. 6 is invisible I guess. -
Can we get him a helmet? The man looks like he could suit up and roll through our DBs right now. I like that he was director of player personnel before. He can give a fresh, outside, objective look at the roster.

Have I mentioned we could really use Frisch back next season? -

A player has five academic years to play four eligible seasons. He last played an NCAA game (non-exh) on December 3 ... strangely that's about when Bast got healthy. Surely coincidence. The question on Johnson is: Does or does not this season (13 games played) count as an eligible season against him. Every time I read the DI Manual I get a different answer. Not having played in second half works in his favor, but 13 games might be too many (30% +1 limit) I think. -
My sources have efforted and acquired a copy of the application for the Bucky job. In the spirit of "chuck the pigskin!" please help me to fill out my application.

I'd stay away until the player announces they are re-opening recruitment. Do unto others ...

Larson I hadn't though of. SCSU should be concerned. Fersch at WMU has to be on the short list. Sandelin might bite for one last pay day, so might MSU-Mankato's guy. I don't think they'll get Opie out of DU unless they break the bank. Rohlik has the problem that the last "name" alumnus they hired they just fired and frankly his resume is the weakest in this post. UW and MTU are classic "frenemies"*; the programs know each other so I think Shawhan will get a look. *I consider BSU a "frenemy" of UND.

Carson Wentz taking Philly err Indy err DC by storm
The Sicatoka replied to SiouxVolley's topic in Non-collegiate sports
The NHL is smarter than the NFL regarding entry-level contracts. You don't dump millions on a guy for what they did with the St. Albert Saints or the Niagara Purple Eagles. You get them to a pro level, see them perform, then comes "Jerry Maguire". Please don't respond "career" or "injury". It happens in every sport. -
One year. Blais' first title (1996-97).

You cheated off my paper.

But you're not Chris McIntosh, UW AD.
-
Interesting, but I still see UW going after Fersch and Herter taking over WMU. UW can not miss on this. That's why I think it'll be a known quantity HC or a B1G assistant.

Long-shot dark horse: NMU HC. (Former Gopher)

I'm thinking 0.920 for a best 2 of 3 UND series win. If UND sweeps it's more like 0.940. UND needs at least the 'tending it's been getting since @DU.

They have serious cred in Baxter after The Pod.

As glorious as that would be, the Badger staff would be @sioux rube @Wilbur and @stoneySIOUX long before that. (They'd never hire @MafiaMan @Blackheart or @Oxbow6. Sorry guys. < Elmo shrug > )
-
B1G arrogance has infused itself into BTHC. They won't reach down to a "lesser" league for an assistant to become a B1G head coach. That said, MSU-Mankato, Tech, and WMU should be worried about their head guys getting calls from the "608".

2022-23 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
The Sicatoka replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Too many crews think they are better than they are. Even CBC (HNIC) and other NHL coverage doesn't change live cameras or live zoom in on play as much as some of these folks try. It's OK to stay back (zoomed out on zone) on puck and only use the other angles for replays. -

Sometimes that is the right play, like if you're gassed and can't change (no TO). Wasn't the case this instance, but still not the worst possible play.
