  1. " ... it'd be hard ... " <- meaning not impossible. The numbers would have to work. That's any deal: it must be mutually beneficial. But it would be hard to walk away from B1G affiliation. However, no worries, UCLA will add hockey before they'd invite UND.
  2. IF (<- big IF) the B1G called and asked UND to be part of the BTHC it'd be hard not to take it if nothing else to put the B1G logo on the website and jersey for the instant marketing.
  3. The B1G number is going from 58 to almost 100. Between that kind of cash, plus the BTAA, the only way you'll see someone leave the B1G is out the back door by the bouncer.
  4. Like Springfield and Shelbyville? @Blackheart and @MafiaMan
  5. Again, and it's a common theme, Fargo doesn't complain that everything comes out of MSP. They get off their tails and build their own. So, ... looking at you Grand Forks. There is a North Valley media market: north of 200, Bemidji to Devils Lake. So target those interests and build an audience. Do it right and you'll pull in those disillusioned with other media market offerings.
  6. WDAY-AM Radio is no longer associated with Forum Communications. That license is now owned by Flag Family Media. I'd listen to KNOX back in the day ... when they had UND Hockey broadcast rights.
  7. Also in there is some not so great news. Congrats on finally "finishing" Dave! And we're all pulling for you.
  8. Change is hard, but in this case the neutral observers say it came out well, award worthy. Frankly, I'm with these folks: I like the cleaner, refreshed, better planned campus. UND Central Campus Improvements Project Wins “Engineering Excellence” Award
  9. To my eye, the only TOR guy with a long contract is Morgan Reilly. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/mapleleafs
  10. No Dubas, no Keefe, I'd guess Willy Nylander is on the trading block. Dubas said he'd never trade him. Nylander is the best value they have for return. Teams can take on his current deal (about $7M) and are still getting value so they'll be willing to give back what TOR asks for.
  11. Peck doesn't seem the patient type: You execute effectively in his system or you accumulate Halberstadt's rewards points*. *Maybe Brent Johnson should've cut an NIL deal with them last season. He modeled their stuff all year.
  12. I wonder how much the Phoenix vote (down in flames this week) impacted that, if any. Cooley is an amazing talent but he won't have last years group of defenders covering some of his defensive lapses.
  13. Did you tell them to ... Jet ... away.
  14. Drain stopper is out of the tub. How much do they drain. His televised antics during Game 5 told me it was his time to go. He came across as immature.
  15. Two postings: https://careers.und.edu/jobs/assistant-coach-women-s-basketball-grand-forks-north-dakota-united-states https://careers.und.edu/jobs/assistant-coach-women-s-basketball-grand-forks-north-dakota-united-states-48e3dca2-6196-4780-afbe-dc0287043ad6 One wants 10 years, the other 3.
  16. We are the Fighting Hawks, not the frightened turtles.
  17. Take it up with @SpudsSioux.
  18. Pretty sure you and I will agree on this: Won't buy used EV.
  19. I've thought they should put ramps on the Merrifield Road overpass (County 6). Then put in the bridge at Co 6 and the Red and get over to MN 220. But that goes right past the GF Country Club and we can't be having traffic past the course now can we ... What space are they going to use at 42nd and Demers? North of tracks or south (and bend Demers)? When Fargo redid 25th, and then 45th, under the tracks I was amazed at how much space it ate up. The underpasses in Bismarck take a full city block. Moorhead's pretty new underpass by the HS (21st St) covers an insane amount of space. It's pretty tight there in GF; something's gotta give. But it'll be so much better for traffic and first responders. Someone sending all this to Mayor Bo?
  20. Glad I went to bed after three; I wouldn't have made seven periods. If this is how FLA/CAR is going to play out it can only help the west. (Now watch DAL/VGK go four OTs tonight. )
  21. UND spent so much time recruiting in Michigan I guess it caught up and cost. Let's see how Bernhard handles this challenge.
  22. Fair enough. Driving-wise the comparison holds. I know a couple Lightning owners and they use them in town primarily. Pulling, open highway in the wind, or in the cold, not so much.
  23. I'll be SO happy when everyone is done with Covid years; it makes remaining eligibility miserable to track. Guys with one eligible season: Johannes, Pyke, Pehrson, Britt Guys with two eligible seasons: Albrecht, Gaber, Jamernik, Ness, Persson, Schmaltz, Kunz, Berg The listed sophs have 3 and the freshmen have 4. Albrecht is correct due to Covid and not getting into games one year (so didn't burn it). Montgomery didn't skate in 2022-23 so doesn't count so he has 3 like a soph. But I'm sure I still missed something.
  24. Yeah, the way Schloss wrote about 15F/8D/3G being usual has me thinking they'll stay unless a too good to be true 16F comes available (or an injury happens).
