  1. I don't disagree. The 4 Corners (UU, UA, ASU, CU) have to look tempting to the BXII. Some claim UU wants to keep aligning with Cali-Stan and UW/UO as long as possible. That's dangerous as they could be left behind. How badly does the BXII want to "dagger" the PAC? An SDSU move would be the dagger. We're in "duck mode" - seems calm on surface, paddling like mad underneath.
  2. Maag and Kuper. Do you see who I don't see in this snap? I see the newly minted Assoc HC but not Bubba.
  3. If the BXII gets CU and 'zona, don't be surprised if they go after San Diego State. It's the remaining SoCal high value proposition and takes away all of SoCal (USC/UCLA/SDSU) from the PAC. That would be the middle of the end of the PAC (the beginning was USC/USCA to B1G). SDSU to BXII would open a Mountain West slot. As much as some want to believe otherwise, I'd expect the MW to backfill from Texas if they backfill; then again the MW may just end up with remnants from an imploded PAC, specifically WasSU and OrSU (lowest value in PAC) and be happy.
  4. Dear @burd, if I watched the 1980 national championship victory on live television I keep my pro card?
  5. The Colorado Board of Regents is meeting in executive session "June 6" (but their announcement can't decide if that's Tue or Wed ). Speculation is CU from PAC to BXII is topic. (Others say they have a personnel/accountant issue.) I struggle with "to BXII" as their alumni and donor base is California, not WV/KS/OK. Or is the PAC media deal that bad it's worth the risk. We'll see.
  6. Quietly tucked into the documents ... The area north of CAS/University and west of West/McVey seems the next target for clearing out the blight/eyesores. In a word: Good. Area in question: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Grand+Forks,+ND/@47.9241245,-97.0861728,435m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x52c681355bbc5e25:0xb6b94d87c5f3d5a!8m2!3d47.9252568!4d-97.0328547!16zL20vMHlwMjE?entry=ttu
  7. Example: $560-600k Say $60-100k for the lot. At 2000 sq ft and say $500k for the house, that's $250 per sq ft. That's not hard to do. I was $200 a square about 20 years ago and I'm all maple flooring/woodwork and cherry cabinetry. I can't imagine today.
  8. Quoting Darth @Blackheart ... "Good, good, ... let the hate flow within you." I think I'm attributing that quote correctly.
  9. Admit it. You loved us Mar 12, 1999. You've hated us since Mar 14, 1999. https://fightinghawks.com/sports/mens-ice-hockey/schedule/1998-99
  10. Zmolek, now Littler. Sorry @bale31.
  11. Rose Creek in Fargo was once in the heart of rural dust storms too. Same for Davies HS. Where I lived in GF back in the day, across the street was a spud field (guy's gotta eat); today it's a movie theatre.
  12. "All three of them ... "
  13. A place to remember all the great college hockey quotes.
  14. "I think that's what they call a clue, ..." -- Det. Lennie Briscoe, NYPD 27th Precinct
  15. May I respectfully add Jamernik and Schmaltz to that list.
  16. At 6'3" and 200, Littler would be a bigger addition to the class. I'll show myself out.
  17. Start here: https://fightinghawks.com/sports/mens-ice-hockey/stats It lists G, SHG, PPG for each guy. Will you get "5x5"? No, but will get "even" (not SHG or PPG).
  18. Another year where half the room will be new to the room. That's not helpful to "culture". Culture is a set of norms and processes and standards. We'll have Miami, Alaska (C), Michigan (A), Mankato, Omaha, Lindenwood, and SHU culture as well as remnants of UND's and whatever flows in with USHL/BCHL guys. Culture: norms, process, standards. Expectations. All created by leadership. That starts at the top, the coaches. Berry had some significant distractions last season (friend dies, mother dies, daughter's business). I wonder what were those impacts on operations. Then again, those are past. Here's hoping for a strong reset top to bottom.
  19. Cade Littler projected to name a school today. Father Bliss Littler is a Minot native.
  20. That solves the need for a senior women’s administrator? Who’s he know, because he himself is not qualified.
  21. Folks must not get out much. I’d guess 45 of 50 states wish they had a city growing like Grand Forks. But because it’s too close to even faster growers Fargo and Bismarck it doesn’t get its due.
  22. As they needed to. I was raised in the mindset of part of your job is to "train your replacement" so you can advance. We had no replacement on the bench.
  23. No posting. Ulmer still listed as "volunteer" but has @UND.edu email so would guess he'd have the inside lane if they do an internal hire. What I learning in looking for that is this: https://fightinghawks.com/sports/mens-ice-hockey/roster/staff/john-fitzgerald-phd/2072
