    First time I see a UND D standing flatfooted with the puck in the defensive zone I'm done. I saw 10 years of that under Berry. (OK, nine; 2016 the D captured and immediately transitioned.)

    Berry could recruit -> see Hak's teams. Can Dane be a HC is the question. The top assistant is the key to recruiting.

    If he can do that without a triggering event (like Judy's) he'd be more 'Dean Blais' than I'd expected. I'd like that, but, I don't expect it. I expect something will happen where he'll have to transform to HC (as Hak did one fateful night) or go down a soft squishy path of less respect.

    I'm acquiescing to the notion of Jax; was hoping for a bigger splash. That said, ... If he brings Chyzyk as a Dir of Player Personnel role and CSC as an assistant, so it looks like a functional rebuild with an eye to the future, I'd be more enamoured of the thought.
