Gerry G. publicly skoffed at the notion. Not a great start. And it seems that Gerry (still?) thinks he's bigger than UND as a whole as he hasn't come out against this. Closing thought: Do we really want all the NDUS campuses micromanaged at this level from the Legislature?

Why not expand EERC to the ... EAST! They already have authority and control over that space. There were plans drawn at one time for EERC to use that space. Why not?

When KFGO made its (questionably enacted) move to Bison Athletics I wondered what the impact on Hammer would be because Scott Miller came along with Bison Athletics. I didn't figure Radio FM would keep Hammer as sports director and Miller as the Bison broadcaster both on staff. Good luck to Hammer in his new (old) job.

I sure hope they have a plan on how to fill out a schedule in a six-team BTHC if they don't plan on going on the road.

And your scenario would be terrible for all teams involved, including Minnesota and Wisconsin. The largest attendances in all three rinks involve UND, UM, and UW. You don't build something up by tearing something else down. UND FB and BB will build on their own. There's no need to speculate on (or even sound like you'd relish) a possible demise of the WCHA.

On the alcohol angle the next step wouldn't be in front of a minor in your own home but it would probably be in front of a minor in a public restaurant. Then they'd go after the "in the home" angle. Most Bison fans I've talked to blame the defense for the loss by giving up the 90 yard drive to tie. Nope, not them. I say it was lost when NDSU punted on 4th and 2 and turned the ball over to a potent offense (that had admittedly been struggling that day). NDSU had been getting 4 yards per run up to that point. Run the ball, get first down, insert dagger. Instead, the NDSU coaches opted to punt. EWU had offense. How do I know? They rattled off 20 unanswered from 19 down against Delaware. They deserve the win and all that comes with it.

But if it's really such an issue to the NCAA, why use it at all. (<-- Note lack of question mark; it's a rhetorical statement.) Can't they just say "North Dakota" as so many here advocate? Wouldn't that be the more prudent (and morally superior, as they portend to be) thing to do? This just leaves them open to so many questions.
