Once again the Bison had several players drafted and UND had none. This is one thing that needs to change going forward because it's a great promo for our recruits to point out the NFL potential. We didn't even have a UDFA that I know of.

Anything connected to the Vikings has become a joke. As I said in the NFL thread below, how do you get a D for your first pick of the draft?

So who are the other 3 FBS conferences they've talked to? I'm sure 2 are CUSA and the MWC but who's the 4th? Would they even want the MAC? They can't be as desperate as Sac State was.

I'm glad they're gone. We can finally be out from behind their shadow and be at the forefront of FCS football. I'm sure NDSU will do just fine in the MW but we don't need them either.

Don't you have your own board? I'll refer to Wentz any way I want to, and overrated and bust fit him fine. For some reason teams do just fine when he's watching from the sides. Philly found that out.

Wentz will always be overrated in my books. There's a reason he's been on 6 teams over the years. It's often rumored that he was hard to get along with and that would fit with him constantly looking for a new team. I'd say the only reason the Vikes signed him is that he'll be QB3 and used sparingly. The one Bison I enjoyed watching was Zabel in the Super Bowl. It probably helped that I wanted Seattle to win, but I thought he's the type of player we need to recruit more. There's something about Wentz's arrogance that annoys me. He doesn't play nearly as good as he thinks he plays. As I said, overrated and over egoed.

How big is their commitment to D1 football? UND type commitment or Murray State type? The last thing FCS needs right now is more Ne'er Do Wells. Same thing can be said about D1 basketball except you can't use Murray State as an example, they seem competitive in BB. How successful were they in D2 athletics?

What are you saying? It's easier, or it's harder, to win a title after the playoff field was expanded? Neither argument applies IMO.

I doubt danny boy even realizes how he set himself up for that one.

I've never been impressed with Wentz. The only time he ever looked good was when he was with the Eagles. But then he was playing on a Super Bowl winning team, who won the SB without him.
