Goon Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 I'm so excited to be going home for this series!!! I hear Davidson will be travelling with the team as well (and that he's very excited about it) You wouldn't by chance be a packer fan as well? Quote

NorthDakotaHockey Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Also,is this a bus trip for the team, or do they fly to Madison? Just curious. Is there a fan bus leaving GF too? Under the Blais regime, I believe that this was a plane trip. I was flying out of the MSP on an early Sunday morning once in the early 00's and saw the boys waiting to get on a jumper to GF. This said, Madison is really a fairly easy drive. At least until you get to that hell hole of a town. I have been lost miserably there. Quote

Bob in Wisconsin Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 God, I wish I was a beer distributor in Madison Wisconsin a guy could make a lot of money. Yah, If I were Hak I keep the boys in a hotel far away from Madison...it would be easy to get caught up in the party atmosphere Friday night. I'd keep them out in Lake Mills or something. Quote
Bob in Wisconsin Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 You wouldn't by chance be a packer fan as well? Good point. On Sunday we face the Vike-Queens. Hopefully we won't be the sieve that San Diego was. Quote

PCM Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Badgers sweep, then Sioux get back on track straight through the regular season. I'm sorry, but according to this article in the Badger Herald, Wisconsin will be forfeiting both games this weekend. Quote
Bob in Wisconsin Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 No suprise there. Madison is probably one of the most liberal, PC cities in the country. Can we throw tomahawks on the ice? Quote

Sioux_Yeah_Yeah Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 That won't cause a riot? It doesn't need to cause a riot.... but I just figured "GO SIOUX" might be kinda boring Quote
DAR Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 No doubt JPL will start these two games. He is going to need a break at some point. Has any goalie ever started every game for a complete college season?? I would think being fresh at the most important time of the year could be a concern in goal. Quote

I don't know if he started every game, but according to these stats, Jeff Lerg played in every one of Michigan State's 42 games last season. Edited November 7, 2007 by PCM Quote

nodak hockey fanatic Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 that's pretty damn impressive that he played all but sixty some odd minutes, the rest of which i am assuming was mop up time for the other guy. are they going to go for two years in a row? i hope it works out as well for us as it did for sparty because jpl may be seeing similar minutes. Quote
PCM Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Well I guess burn out wasn't an issue for him!! It must've been for the Spartans' backup goalie, Open Net, because he didn't get too many minutes last season. Quote
