Hak Pre-Game Comments:

As tight as the league is, the one thing you want in your control is your destiny.

With 2 points tonight, we can solidify home ice.

You want to take care of yourself; go through the front door.

We've been working for this for the past 2 months.

We have that opportunity tonight.

Two pretty good teams playing tonight.

Both teams playing well.

The common between the two teams is work ethic.

Both have strong defensive teams.

They're a complete hockey team.

There's a lot more to them than their top line, like ours.

We have to count on the top line to play hard, but the others have to chip in to.

Everyone has a role to play. Especially this time of the year.

We've played well on big ice surfaces.

We skate well, which is something you need.

Goepfert's a great goaltender. His numbers tell you that.

Go throughout the league, and it's hard to find a team that doesn't have a great goaltender.

We didn't concoct any special game plan because of him.

Both teams specialty teams played well last weekend.

Have to have great 5 on 5 play, but as always, have to win the specialty teams battle.

Vande Velde did a good job on Saturday night on his line.

Hoping that after a week of practice, that line has formed more chemistry.

Radke, Zajac and Forney will play on a line. Forney had a good week of practice. History shows when he practices well, he plays well in the games.

Statistically, St. Cloud is very good when they score the first goal.

Does it decide the game, absolutely not.

We want to play a full 60 minutes.

According to Brad's Blog... we've got Shepherd

Brad Miller:

Seems like yesterday we were getting ready for the Dartmouth tourney, time flies when you're having fun. Before Xmas break it seemed like things were falling apart, we weren't having fun. Relaxed over break and just having more fun now. Fri in Denver was a disappointment, we rebounded well on Sat... one of our most complete games of the year. Hopefully we can continue to roll into the playoffs. It's clear we can win with only the DOT line producing, but that's not the way we want to do it. I'd be scared to imagine what would happen if we had three lines producing. We need to get back to the basics, throwing pucks on the net, getting some rebounds. We all know that other lines need to produce. If you are getting good chances but not burying them, you need to be aware that you need to be sound defensively. Coaches have the lines set up so that the chemistry is set up well and we know what each other is going to do. I hope to get a streak going, have been cold lately... I've got to get back to the old school type of game. Win the little battles, hopefully I'll be fine. I don't want to be a streaky player, but I'd rather be streaking right now than three or four weeks ago.
