NorthDakotaHockey Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Damned straight Pat. Thanks for the report. Happy Thanksgiving. We all have much for which to be thankful. Among many other things, Da Gods gave us da Sioux. And Hak. And Eades. And Ralph. And Passion. That's what makes us Sioux fans. That is for what I am most thankful this week. And your reports. Quote

Sioux_Hab-it Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Good recap and glad to see that Hak shares my concern about the lack of offence against Alaska. CC will also collapse around Zaba so the adjustment needs to be made quickly. Quote
dagies Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Glad to hear the Hak likes what he's seeing in the top 2 lines. Will be interesting to see how Miller/VandeVelde/Kozek line comes along. It would seem to me that VV has made a great case for "most improved player so far". Good for him. Quote
DAR Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Thanks PCM. Darned right about Vande. Every game he plays he gets better and better. Now if he'd only shoot the puck more.... We need to see results though. Two points at this point in the season is not much of an impact. Hopefully he can get it going. Quote

Hak said he played well against CC's top center/line all game on Saturday, so Hak left him in that role. If he contributes significantly to holding the other team to 16-17 shots on goal, and holding the other top line from scoring, than we can live with his lack of point production. Quote

Shut down defense, I was pleased with the effort myself. I hope they can keep it up. Quote

My thoughts precisely. Vandevelde was really good defensively and uses his size remarkably well. VV will eventually score points, especially if the great setup passes he has done on occasion finally reaches someone who is able to finish. VV could have had 2 assists on Saturday alone. Quote
