Is singer Chris Brown - who won the Best New Artist and Viewer's Choice awards at the 2006 BET Awards last night - wearing a Fighting Sioux cap? Sure looks like it to me. Quick! Someone call Myles Brand!

Good cover story PCM, but truth is PCM locks out every channel but BET on his TVs in the summer. He adds Fighting Sioux Sports Network back in each October through March. (We're not sure if the rumors of him being a roadie for Mary J. Blige are true.)

That is truly one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Do not look now but every rapper on the planet will be wearing them tomorrow.

Just a note...I realize this is in the wrong forum but I came across something this morning....Did everyone know that Ron His Horse Is His Thunder's real name is Ron McNeil. He might have a little Irish in him. Maybe he should start worrying about the FIghting Irish instead.

Is there anything really called good rap....TO me no such animal...It all sucks

Actually, I do like some rap. Not any of the "gangsta" stuff, but I did really like some of MC Hammer's stuff when he was big. And who can forget Rapture by Blondie?

Fab Five Freddie told me everybody's high

DJ's spinnin' are savin' my mind

Flash is fast, Flash is cool

Francois sez fas, Flashe' no do

And you don't stop, sure shot

Go out to the parking lot

And you get in your car and you drive real far

And you drive all night and then you see a light

And it comes right down and lands on the ground

And out comes a man from Mars

And you try to run but he's got a gun

And he shoots you dead and he eats your head

And then you're in the man from Mars

You go out at night, eatin' cars

You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too

Mercurys and Subarus

And you don't stop, you keep on eatin' cars

Then, when there's no more cars

You go out at night and eat up bars where the people meet

Face to face, dance cheek to cheek

One to one, man to man

Dance toe to toe

Don't move to slow, 'cause the man from Mars

Is through with cars, he's eatin' bars

Yeah, wall to wall, door to door, hall to hall

He's gonna eat 'em all

Rapture, be pure

Take a tour, through the sewer

Don't strain your brain, paint a train

You'll be singin' in the rain

I said don't stop, do punk rock

Well now you see what you wanna be

Just have your party on TV

'Cause the man from Mars won't eat up bars when the TV's on

And now he's gone back up to space

Where he won't have a hassle with the human race

And you hip-hop, and you don't stop

Just blast off, sure shot

'Cause the man from Mars stopped eatin' cars and eatin' bars

And now he only eats guitars, get up!

OK I will re-phrase there has not been any good rap since around 1995. I did like some old school stuff, but this in the last 10 years has been crap. Long Live Motley Crue!!!HAHA

How in the world did Chris Brown come across the Sioux logo? Is this a political statement? If so, COOL!

I'm thinking that it's more of a fashion statement. I see that he wears lots of different caps depending on the outfit he has on. He probably doesn't even know the logo's relationship to UND. We just got lucky for the BET Awards.

Fess up, how many pairs of Hammer pants do you currently own? And I know you're the fourth founding member of the Sugar Hill Gang.

Do you think he'd wear a Sioux hockey jersey if he had one?! ;)

I like lots of rap, I guess I'm a product of my environment>>24 year old son plus his friends=exposure over and over again to rap.

Fighting Sioux merchandise instantly gives wanna-be gangstas that "hostile & abusive" cred they usually work so hard to achieve. We should create a special hostile & abusive product line and pursue rapper product placement, it could pay for the transition and the lawsuit.

Not a bad idea. Perhaps we can have black Sioux hockey sweaters and hats sent to the top-100 hip-hop/rap acts on Billboard, and their crews. The trademark royalties alone from white suburbanite kids emulating their "heroes" would fund 1000 years of litigation.;)

And we can send Myles Brand a nice "thank you" note. ;)
