X2theZ
OK?...Tonight he contributed 2 goals against the Flyers I think he meant the fact that Brian Gionta his teammate and former rival has 3 times as many goals as Zach. That would be why hes doing only ok.
Fetch
I really have trouble getting into pro sports anymore - I try every year with the NHL & Baseball - Never have liked basketball since the Celtics or Lakers of old - even Jordan could not hold my interest - At least until playoffs Has a Team ever won the NCAA without a pro prospect ? ? ? Mad Man
lee goren was a 3rd round draft pick by the bruins..that is the only one i believe so good guess! He didn't play that season. If I remember correctly he had to sit out that year because he played two games in the WHL in 95-96.
wakeboarding_crazed
Lee Goren did not play on the 1996-97 national championship team, he was a member of the team but didn't suit up for any games due to the WHL issue. He didn't win a national championship with the Sioux until they beat Boston College 4-2 in 2000 out in Providence, Rhode Island.

Mad Man
So is the 97 championship team considered a team without prospects? Or does Lee Goren being on the team althouth never dressing for a game count? He did still practice with the team, just like Roche his first year with the Sioux. Is it a team without any prospects with an astrik.

If prospects are just NHL draft picks, the 97 team might be considered the last championship team without prospects. However if you define prospects as anyone the NHL is looking at, I would say you have to go back to the years before Pro hockey. If players weren't prospects at the beginning of the season they certainly would be after a championship run.

yzerman19
We do definitely have a stacked locker room. I also know that we will see a lot of line combos. I would like to see Duncan and Toews stay together, as they were dynamite in the Final 5 and Regional. I like TJ and Porter together too, just because they both bring such intensity, and they played well together last fall. I agree that Kozek and Watkins will show us a lot more this year, and Spirko is obviously a good player. Kaip and Fabian will continue to wreak havoc on the forecheck. It will be interesting to see how little Zajac, Forney and Vandevelde play. Forney appears to be built a lot like Blake Wheeler.

Supertrex
He's done better lately but he certainly hasn't set the world on fire. Currently he's -5 and eigth on his team for scoring. That's not bad, but when you consider that he's come on since Christmas you can't say the first half was that great. He's still a couple years from his potential imo. I think he was something like plus 10 over the last 11 games playing with Gionta and Gomez. He has really come on and has played extremely well over the past month. We should all be proud to hear "University of North Dakota product Zach Parise"...

Or North Dakota State, depending on the venue. Anyone know Zajac's / Smaby's $$$, I'm too lazy to look for it.
