Quesada helped the Crusaders to arguably the biggest upset in NCAA tournament history last spring, making 35 saves in a 4-3 overtime win over the University of Minnesota. The Crusaders became the first No. 4 seed to ever take out a top seed, and it was the school's first-ever NCAA tournament victory. Emphasis mine. Quote

Maybe he will get to play for Minnesota some day, like it said he dreamed of as a boy (although it was probably UMTC). Oh well, he ended up in a much better place for his college career. Quote

I wasn't fortunate enough to be at the game, but did listen to it that night. The guys who did the mix did a great job. It gives you goosebumps. The Gophers are being sent home. I love that line. I hate painting, and I am not good at it, but at a time like this maybe it would be the thought that counts and not the quality of the paint job. Goldie painted with a Holy Cross jersey, pictured in the sports section of the Red Star Tribune, would be priceless. Quote
Sioux-cia Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Ah hum... Goldie is not that near to the Mariucci Arena. Goldie has been moved from his original location and is now in an area behind the Radisson Hotel, he sits kiddie cornor to the hotel's parking lot. He's in an area where there are no streets crossing in front or beside it. Pretty quiet and secluded. My daughter in law took us there. She's a doctorate student at UMtc. It was her suggestion to get pictures of Goldie with a Holy Cross jersey on. With that suggestion, she officially became part of the family. What's really funny is that while it was Labor Day, there were a few students/people walking by as we took our pictures and NO ONE challenged us. Me thinks, a 2am Goldie paint job would be a cinch to pull off. Quote
