Ray77 Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Uh oh...penalty on Cornell with 3:00 to play. Quote
Ray77 Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 GREAT chances for Wisconsin on this PP, but can't finish! WOW! Quote
SiouxTupa Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 So is this a tournament of goaltenders or what???!!!! Quote
SiouxTupa Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Seriously, imagine a Frozen Four with Parise, McKee, Schneider, and Elliot.... WOW Too bad one of them has to go home. How's Maine's goaltending?? Quote
Ray77 Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I'm sure glad they play this Hobey Baker piece between EVERY period...just in case I missed it over the last 21 periods of hockey I've watched in the last few days. Quote
SiouxTupa Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Yeah, don't you feel bad for Mike Hall? The kid goes out, wins the "Dream Job" game. Then has to be taped and replayed sooooo many times during three days that it makes people hate him with a passion. Maybe I don't hate him, but grrrrrrr.. Quote
HockeyMom Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 This game is going to be a great win and a terrible loss. I'm glad I'm not a Wisco or Cornell fan, cause I would have died already..... Quote
Ray77 Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Announcers were just talking about who they think may get the goal for either team and 1 announcer mentioned Jeff Likens for Wisconsin. If anything, Likens will be out there if Wisconsin gets scored on. I watched him 2 years ago at the WJC at the Ralph and he was horrible. Haven't had the chance to really watch him since. Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 It remains scoreless because there is no one like an Oshie or Toews who can make the required moves and go hard to the net. Quote

SiouxTupa Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I should've been doing homework an hour and a half ago. But...I can't...I'm just too mesmerized. Quote
jk Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 It's like the punchline to a joke: Wisco and Cornell 0-0 after 4 periods. The Sioux have only one tie because their defensemen have been young and make mistakes and because the front line is so stacked with elite offensive players. Quote
sprig Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 The NCAA may have to make a quick rule change and have a shoot out instead, although it may still take 2 or 3 hours before someone scores. Would each shootout chance then be called a "quality scoring chance"; maybe not if it's Wisco and Cornell Quote
snaggles Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 The announcers just had Coach Hak on via the phone during intermission of the badger game. They asked hak about carrying on the FIGHTING SIOUX TRADITION after blais left. They also talked about the frozen four. Pretty neat stuff and good exposure to the best college hockey program in the country. Quote
Goon Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 This game could go on all night. Sounds like Elliot is playing good again. I have watched the game for the last two periods and I think UND could make mince meat out of both of these teams with their speed. Quote

Sounds like a good rule to add right now. Quote
SiouxTupa Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Temporarily lost my feed. Seems like everyone and their grandma signed on during the 2nd OT. Quote
