southpaw
game time an hour away. if the sioux win, there's a pretty good chance they'll move up to the 6th seed overall, which could send the gophers not to the ralph.

The Sicatoka
'sconnie is the higher seed, and thus the home team, and will wear white. Think Hakstol will have the team in the black jerseys today?

WiSioux
Stafford praticed yesterday with the team... leaving the WI staff confused as to if he is going to play (he isn't), but if the Badgers are spending time trying to figure out if Stafford is going to play, they aren't on their best game... Announcers think that the NHL ice will give UND a slight edge They also think Zajac, Toews, and Chorney were snubbed in regards to WCHA teams. They think Smaby should be on a higher up team. They think Poultney should be MVP. Lots of comments on ROY... "when it comes to on the ice performance, TJ Oshie was the rookie of the year" They would like to see the voting published, so they can see who voted for who. Choney and Kozek interviewed in pregame. Chorney - We've come a long way since we last played the Badgers. No freshman anymore... Badgers play solid defensively, good goaltender. Will have to use our speed and take the attack to them. UW and SCSU are two of the toughest teams to play against. We're gonna have to screen their goalie, maybe score some ugly goals. Learned a lot from the World Juniors. A lot more confident. Helps a lot to have played with Lee all season long, can read off of each other. Was huge to not have to play in the play in game. Our goal is to win the tournament, we think we've got a good enough team to do it. Like the NHL rink as opposed to the Olympic rink. Opportunity to play two great teams, that could be HUGE for our pairwise. Ever since the loss to St Cloud we've started to turn the corner, every game we are getting better. Hopefully we just keep improving game by game. Being young doesn't put as much pressure on us... we just come out and suprise people Game plan - Get a lead, UW isn't very good when playing from behind. Earl is going to take a few dives, maybe up to ten, but get out there and pound these guys into submission Kozek - apparently no Kozek... keikla
Announcers say Jordy should be on his game today....just because he's so competitive and people say (as is evident by the WCHA awards) that Elliott is so much better. I hope they're right. Go SIOUX!
Siouxdonyms
Underway!!!!!! Let's go Sioux! Let's hope Oshie and Toews go out and show why they're the true ROY's!

keikla
Thank goodness it's an afternoon game....I actually get to listen to the game before work. UW penalty. UND PP Spirko with a close chance. Good puck movement.
southpaw
does anyone think lee and chorney sould switch sides on the pp? right now, they can't get a one-timer going unless it comes from the side of the boards... if they switched sides, they would easily be able to one timer it to each other. keikla
southpaw- what's with the name switch? Oshie almost gets one...awesome pressure on the PP. Badgers at full strength
Siouxdonyms
Oshie with a great chance. D-man recovered at the last minute to ruin the play!
southpaw
oshie with a ridiculous move, spirko'd the defender, but shot was stopped. sioux pp looking very good and controlled. sioux almost score, but elliott makes a sprawling save. penalty over. sioux hitting hard, like to see that. Siouxdonyms
Definitely had the chances on the PP. Need to play with our heads up a little more. That last chance could have been a goal.
southpaw
southpaw- what's with the name switch? Oshie almost gets one...awesome pressure on the PP. Badgers at full strength havent used that name since high school... finally decided to change it up.
Siouxdonyms
Parise finally gets first save of game, nearly 5 minutes in. Glad it was a shot from the top of the crease. Didn't like the centering pass the last rush before. Glad there was no deflection of Sioux player, or a Wisco player sitting on the backdoor. Siouxdonyms
Replay shows that last rush on the PP knicked the pipe. Keep trying boys!
southpaw
i just saw robbie earl on the ice, and he wasn't flopping around. possibly the first time i've ever seen him standing up when he was playing.
southpaw
high shot off the glas, comes back and bounces off parise's back of the arm, sioux d and parise dive for it.
Siouxdonyms
Close one there! Parise totally blinded on a one-time shot, puck went off the boards and bounced behind JPar. He got the save! Don't let the stinkin Badgers blind our goalie boys!
