Figured there would be about 5-7 more Goofs in the portal by now.  Maybe they’re going to run it back with that abysmal Dcore and some real head scratchers at forwards.  Bold strategy

Might be waiting until after the Frozen Four to put their names in. 
 

Names are coming out before they can enter, so maybe Gopher players who are not grad-transfers are thinking they can’t enter yet

Maybe the new coaching staff will better connect with them and get them to play better. Sometimes all it takes is a new voice.

Exactly, sometimes it’s how you use the talent you have, and the progression you make from year to year.  Wiebe and Livanavage are not the same defensemen they were their first year or two.  Just look at the strides Emery and Strathmann made from their first year. Minnesota might clear out a few guys to make room for players they like in the portal and that might come with Larson from St. Cloud.

Based on Larson's visit with PA on KFAN, revamping the defense is his 1st priority.  I'm guessing he is waiting to see who is in the portal to fill in the holes, who from Canadian JRs would even consider MN, and making decisions based on current roster and incoming recruits.
