Do we know he is getting bad advice? Or could it be the relationship with the coaches were not what he wanted, so he want's out?  I don't know. I do believe many of these kids get bad advice.  It's the same with A3, did he get bad advice, or was the relationship with the coaches not good so he went looking for advice?

The irony between Micah and Marley is they are extremely similar.  Micah had a little better numbers coming out of HS, but they are identical twins with pretty much the exact skillsets.  Why they are splitting is interesting.

You guys are trying to apply reason to an unreasonable generation of players.

The more time goes on the more it seems Chavez is a fool

What does it take to get a competent AD running the show for UND? Local “bleeds green” hire? No more outside hires like Faison and Chaves?

How is this to be done when the budget you are given doesn't allow a salary that high?

I guess the same way you’re supposed to win a bunch more games as a new coach with massive roster turnover while serving champagne wishes and caviar dreams on private jets within that same budget.

True to certain level. Treyson could have left a year earlier, but he was a ride or die guy that listened to Sather, and it worked out for him. Numerous others should have stayed another year but didn't. Sure, you can call it purely a business decision and put it on NIL but in reality, if their is a bond or mutual respect between coaches and players everyone succeeds. If it's more of a one way street and the coach has a transactional only style, you're more than likely going to see things happen that don't make sense. Which is what we see with this team.

If your current boss is paying you $20,000 (made up number for a full scholarship) and another offers you a job doing the exact same thing and pays you $350,000 is your loyalty.to your boss keeping you at your current place of employment?

Loyalty and owning a commitment are dead in college sports and everyone needs to get over it. Coach and his group will go get 7-8 more guys and they'll move forward. Thats the way it is, even for Power 4 schools

not to disrespect Eaglestaff but earlier it was said he got $1.6M.  I don't know who else West Virginia added via the portal  but they didn't even make the field of 68.  that is expensive and I wonder if in a few years schools are going to be more cautious.

For sure they are. Gophers gave B.J. right around $400,000 and he didn't play a minute. Lesson learned in Gopherville

There’s a long list of role players that have left for little to no money. Maybe they all got “bad advice”. Maybe it’s something else that’s pushing them away

Maybe but the money today is nuts and when you are getting zero, $50,000 sounds pretty damn good.

If the Gopher basketball program has $6 million in NIL money, $400,000 is less than 1/12th of that amount. Good money for B.J. but guessing others got more by quite a bit

I get your point and the answer is yes, I'd jump too if it were only about the money and everythingelse was the same. I've been employed for decades with the same company. I could go get another job and make more money. I don't because I like my job, my employer, and the people I work with. I think many kids jump for money, and loyalty is fleeting, but some of these players start looking because of they just don't like thier bosses.

UND is light on NIL money, but as some have pointed out, there is some money there. I assume King and Anderson recieved a decent chunk of the UND pot. They are gone, and several others are leaving that probably shouldn't be. Maybe it's not about the $$.

Greyson is an exception. I dont think he wanted to leave, but the $$ other schools are throwing at him is too much to ignore.
