Schultz have another year of eligibility? i believe you have to be 20 or under as of December 31. Ashton will turn 20 next October and Pilgrim won't turn 21 until February. Not saying they'll want to defer them as both are looking like they'll be ready, but I think they do have the option. Carson Pilgrim and Ashton Schultz as 2006s can play another year of junior yes, so they can be deferred. Pilgrim the more likely of the two to be deferred, but we'll see Quote

You wonder if those on their last year of junior eligibility think about whether they might just get ditched the following year if a CHL becomes available. I could see a Duluth offering Pilgrim if UND defers him another year. Guess that’s where the coaches and Brynn are in constant communication with people in the pipeline. 1 Quote
ChadR Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Curious to know where Chyz has been scouting the majority of his time? WHL or USHL or other? Quote

My guess would be 35% USHL, 30% WHL, 25% minor/HS/prep. Remember, you still have to go to minor hockey, HS, prep games to get to know the upcoming August 1 first time commit eligible potential recruits. Denver certainly was scouting Colt Carter last year when he was playing U18 AAA minor hockey in St Albert Alberta, and they committed him quite under the radar, and that certainly looks great right now with Carter being a borderline star as a 16 year old producer in the Dub with Moose Jaw. Williams and Ashton Schultz are likely. If the number of incoming freshmen is 5, I would expect the rest to be pushed back and the last spot stays open. Worst case scenario is that O’Niell or Pilgrim come next year. A lot can also change between now and then. Quote

Looking ahead at this upcoming August 1 cycle, their top targets should include Beck Thoreson and Brayden Willis. Both have a lot of UND ties. Thoreseon is a huge defenseman that has been productive as a sophomore for the NTDP. Willis’ production speaks for itself so far this year. 1 Quote

Pretty sure as July’s signed his NLI Quote
