More likely to get finalized roster news on some random day like August 6. Quote

Way to grow the game by screwing everyone that is tired of your !@#$. Quote
scpa0305 Posted Friday at 05:56 PM Posted Friday at 05:56 PM Scantlebury to BU..we were in on him initially. Big big get Quote
nascar99 Posted Friday at 05:56 PM Posted Friday at 05:56 PM Just 4 of the 11 commits today are 2009s. The rest are 2008s. Apparently, it's common practice for many New England kids to repeat a grade when move from public/normal private HS to prep schools. So a lot the normal bday 2008s from New England aren't graduating HS until 2027, hence why they were only able to start committing today. Quote

nascar99 Posted Friday at 06:28 PM Posted Friday at 06:28 PM Only 1 NTDP commitment so far from the 2009s, pretty surprising ngl. Quote

I meant that guys should be able to go on official visits on January 1 of their sophomore year in HS, which is currently the day that coaches can officially contact them Quote

nascar99 Posted Friday at 07:00 PM Posted Friday at 07:00 PM Gunnar Conboy (2009, Lakeville MN, USHL, Green Bay Gamblers) to Minnesota, very solid get. Quote
brianvf Posted Friday at 08:11 PM Posted Friday at 08:11 PM Other than Scantlebury, not much action for the big boys/big gets so far. Not nearly as fun as I was hoping today would be. Quote
atxsioux Posted Friday at 08:42 PM Posted Friday at 08:42 PM Oliver McKinney to Michigan (not too much of a surprise considering his older brother is going there) Commitments are still slowly trickling out so holding out hope for a later bat signal today. 1 Quote
beastandco Posted Friday at 10:22 PM Posted Friday at 10:22 PM No bat signals today, kind of surprising. At least none of UND’s realistic targets are off of the board. 2 Quote
yzerman19 Posted Friday at 10:31 PM Posted Friday at 10:31 PM Program and first round junior guys are unlikely to commit day 1. Quote

brianvf Posted Saturday at 12:52 AM Posted Saturday at 12:52 AM Some thoughts from Canada's Hlinka training camp on a couple commits and possible recruits: https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/top-10-standouts-from-canadas-2025-hlinka-gretzky-cup-training-camp Quote #18 Cooper Williams, LW: Williams made a huge first impression, scoring twice in the opening game with two identically impressive shot releases. The Saskatoon Blades forward did a great job of getting himself into scoring lanes, and it didn’t seem to matter who he played with, either. This was my first time watching him and I liked how often he was involved around the net. Quote #3 Keaton Verhoeff, D: Verhoeff took a penalty in the second game that can only be described as “being bigger than the guy he hit.” He’s a towering presence, and attackers had difficulty trying to beat him in 1-on-1 situations. I like the way he moves and the way he makes decisions under pressure. I’ve seen him play better, but for summer hockey, he already looked a step ahead of most defenders. Quote #5 Landon Dupont, D (2027 NHL Draft): Not only was DuPont one of the most noticeable players on the ice, but he was also one of the fastest. We know Dupont can exploit open ice with his great edge work and top speed, but he already looks faster and more engaged. His creativity is incredible and he knows exactly when to rush into the offensive zone and when to be a bit more reserved. DuPont is going to annihilate players on the power play one day. Quote
