Elite forward options getting more and more limited.

It’s pretty much Martone or bust at this point. Bryn and Co will have to pull some strings with donors to make a somewhat competitive NIL offer. There’s too many hoops to go through to land Martone, I just don’t see it.

Honestly, the loss of Isaac Gordon hurts more and more by the day. I trust what Bryn has cooked up though.

Pardon me if this has been addressed but does anyone have any insight as to when we can expect to hear who’ll fill the last remaining two roster spots?

It has to be announced soon! School starts in a month.

I would be absolutely blown away if Mortone comes here at this point. I’m seeing PSU is back in the picture too. Agree on the Gordon comment, he would have been a nice depth/plug and play add

Liv has actually done great on the PP from my end. His O numbers are solid. That’s why (to me) this could be a really tough call.

Livanavage and Verhoeff could play on the PP together. Livanavage is a distributor while Verhoeff has a great shot.

Whatever is going on behind the scenes, it doesn’t look like they are in panic mode. Steering a player away from their junior team is much easier when you can guarantee them ice time. At this point, there is not a ton of guys available that could play significant minutes at UND. Maybe there is a forward in the 2026 draft that wants to play college next year, like Cullen Potter did this year. I do not think he committed until mid-late summer.

Anyone know if Landon DuPont has accelerated his education and is a junior in HS already, or is he still just a normal sophomore and thus commitment eligible on August 1?

He needs to play with Emery and he’ll flourish

Idk what you all think, but is anyone else imagining D pairings without Zmolek in the lineup? I find myself doing that simply because he seems destined for injuries. I feel bad for the guy, but something just tells me we won’t have his services for the entire season.

If we have him on the regular, that’d mean an embarrassment of riches because then we have 3 really solid RHD every night. If we don’t land another potent forward, it still seems like our back end will be able to more than carry their weight.

Haven't heard anything   -   But based on how he follows multiple NCAA schools on insta I'd be pretty surprised if him and his advisor haven't planned ahead to accelerate his schooling so he's ready to play his draft eligible year in the NCAA. Considering how he tore up the dub this year he'll be ready for a new challenge in 2026.

Just guessing but seems like he would just follow along with other commits and do visits early fall then commit from there. I don't think he would want to drag the decision out much longer than that during his Dub season.

There’s always been more rumors tying DuPont to UND than there were with McKenna. He’s one that I wouldn’t be surprised to see in a UND uniform and that’d be awesome. Imagine him and Verhoeff being on the same blue line? :hypocrite:

I'd be very surprised if DuPont doesn't end up at one of North Dakota, Denver, or Michigan. I can squint and see one of Boston University or Boston College make a big push for him too though.

We'll definitely be running 2 defenseman on the top PP unit if he commits lol

I don’t think he plays the WHL season committed to an NCAA school. I do think he takes visits this summer/fall. Him and both of his parents follow UND hockey on instagram. I would be surprised if he doesn’t at least take a visit. He’ll get offered a ton of money, UND will have to be somewhat competitive in that category if they want to have a chance.

Random thought: Could UND use revenue sharing as a way to be competitive in recruiting? For example, could UND directly offer DuPont 250k to play for a season? I’m not saying they would do that but just wondering if that is possible.

Rydell gonna have to sell a lot of Chevrolets to cover that...

Less than a month away from the August 1 recruiting window opening up. Very excited. Tons of first time eligible late 2008s and 2009s that we'll all be tracking.

Looking ahead a bit, are there any uncommitted names to keep an eye on for the future?

I have seen Dayne Beuker mentioned on here before. Would he be a guy that makes the jump to college a year from now?
