Oh that was the angle…got it. Mason is obviously an Edina kid, he’s also got a great head on his shoulders so I doubt the girl thing comes into play. I will say this…he just isn’t the type of kid that goes to UND. It won’t happen.

BC has Hagens, Stiga, Conmy, and Gasseau. William Moore and Justin Carbonneau as late first/early 2nd round picks. Maybe Reschny would rather play guaranteed top 6 minutes at UND? Not saying he wouldn’t be able to play over all of those guys but he could see himself buried in the lineup some nights.

Carbonneau to Boston College would leave them less ice time available for a guy like Cole Reschny. Would be nice if dominoes start falling in North Dakota's direction

The recent interest from Reschny could be a good sign. Reschny and Carbonneau have similar NHL draft stocks. I would think playing every scenario at UND would be better for his development. Reschny would already play behind Hagens in their lineup. 1C at UND would be his spot to lose and at worst he would play 2C between quality wingers.

I stumbled upon a twitter post from College Puck NXT that had Cole Reschny with UND and BC listed as suitors. Dylan James’ mom was in replies with a tweet that said “CR💚”. 
 

I know she had done something similar before Rickwood committed.

Yeah she called the Rickwood commitment about a week before it was publicly announced. Hopefully she’s correct this time too.

Cole Reschny committing to North Dakota would indicate Chyzyk's commitment to recruiting harder & better than before, as well as leveraging UND connections/relationships to get great players. With James Patrick being Reschny's head coach for the Victoria Royals, there seems to be another indicator here. Love to see it.

Verhoeff is one of the top end guys who you wouldn't be surprised to get drafted and then sign his ELC to forego the NCAA, but if he's interested in playing NCAA, you'd certainly want to be at the top of his list. Top 5 guy for 2026.
