They don't make it, but Sioux get a late hit, 1st down at the 40. Very marginal call on the replay. Some Sioux backups are in at D. Pass to Hines to the Sioux 42, 1st down. Pass completion on 3rd down with a PF added on again. Calls are starting to look like last year's early season WCHA hockey, no contact allowed. 1st down Winona. Sioux stop Winona, they kick a FG, 38-6, 2:26 left in the third. Quote

That keeps the defense on the field longer and can effect play. It doesn't matter today, but it would be a problem in a closer game. Quote

Diggler Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 I don't know that Winona was highly overrated, UND played a great game. The offense, the defense, everything. Once UND exploded, Winona seemed to completely fall apart. Western Washington might provide a stiff challenge next week, who knows. Quote
