nascar99 Posted Saturday at 02:55 PM Posted Saturday at 02:55 PM Considering how good of a job Nightingale has done, the fact that Augustine is back in net, plus the recruits coming in like Lindstrom, Lee, Romani, Nilson, & potentially more, I think Michigan State is the 2026 National Championship favorite. I'm not convinced that Howard is 100% back for State next year, I still think his rights get dealt and he signs pro this summer. A lot can change between now and the start of the season, but man, they're gonna be a wagon again. Quote

nascar99 Posted Saturday at 10:26 PM Posted Saturday at 10:26 PM Honestly won't be a quiet summer in the NCAA world with all of the recruiting news, whether it be the current eligible uncommitted CHLers or the August 1 first time eligible recruiting that consists of 2009 born Canadians and many late 2008 and normal 2009 Americans. 2 Quote

I would expect at least 10-15, but probably closer to 20 uncommitted, unsigned CHLers from this draft go to the NCAA before turning pro. Quote

They had a bit of an underwhelming recruiting cycle (for blueblood standards) since getting Hagens. William Moore was a nice addition of course, surprised Luka Radivojevic and Gavin Cornforth didn't get picked. Boston College is in the process of trying to get St Louis Blues 1st rounder Justin Carbonneau committed, they know they have go after elite Canadians/CHLers again to keep up. 1 Quote

brianvf Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I still can’t believe that PSU is even in the top 15 for his choice, unless all he cares about is NIL. 1 Quote

NIL, 2025 Frozen Four appearance, and I'd guess that Gadowsky is one helluva car salesmen with whatever pitch he's given some of their recent recruits Quote

I guess I'm just naive, but is NIL that big of a deal for him? He's gonna be a gazillionaire in a year or so. Wouldn't he want just one memorable, entertaining college year in front of the best fans in the best rink, before he hits the 'big time'? Just wishful thinking I suppose. 1 Quote

More NIL money allows him to buy a bigger insurance policy hedging future earnings against any potential career ending injuries between now and his ELC expiring. Just a thought. Nolan Patrick hopefully had a policy. 2 Quote

But if I were him I would want one memorable year in the BEST fans in college hockey along with BEST rink in the world!!! Quote
