GoodGood Posted Sunday at 03:11 AM Posted Sunday at 03:11 AM Another thing from this game no one has mentioned, Mayar did not play in the 2nd half. Had warmup on the entire half and body language did not look good Quote

Wondering if that was part of it. Quote

They put a fast little guy on Trey to take away his crossover and double him. We don’t adjust and he has 4 points on free throws for the half. Meanwhile all but one of our players have a 4 to 6 inch advantage across the board and we opt to shoot 3’s at a 20 percent clip. Finally with 6 minutes left in the game we make the adjustment to go inside and score - which we did - just 90 percent of the way through the game before we recognized the glaring mismatches that should have been easy to see. Credit St. Thomas. They play aggressively, overplaying everything. The way to beat that is fakes, back doors, and rotation - none of which we do. I still think there is some talent there but Paul really needs to make some changes to his schemes… Sather doesn’t make adjustments.. can’t even adjust game to game when his top player can’t seem to get in a groove. No easy plays quick point plays, no inbounding plays, can’t even look ahead and put Trey back in the game with 3 second left in the first half to get a potential shot up… he’s just not a good coach 2 Quote
gfNDfan Posted Sunday at 06:59 AM Posted Sunday at 06:59 AM We went to today's game although I was hesitant because of how they played against Omaha but my wife REALLY wanted to go so OK... First off - easy in - we parked in the free parking and had to walk about a block and a half max. Wellness Center was charging $20 a car from their lot - REALLY? As Barnum used to say there's a sucker born every minute but whatever. Tickets - CHEAP! We were walk ups and got 2 tickets behind the benches 11 rows up in 411 on about the 45 yard line for $10 each - SUPER CHEAP - we had amazing seats for...wait for it...well you know Concessions - $5 for a BOTTLE OF WATER? I'm out - doesn't look like the bar on lounge level was even open. They moved the endzone bleachers on the home side back against the wall cutting out the concession area there that offered more than just hot dogs. Apparently a thing of the past....don't even start me on where the band plays from now - BEHIND a crappy Fan Section - SAD! The Game - NOT SO MUCH - nice crowd ready to cheer but when you spot the opponent an 11 point lead right out of the gate and play catch-up for the rest of the game - MOOD KILLER! Finally some excitement when they got within 2 but a few minutes later is was back to double digits and they never got close - How COULD a crowd get into a game like that? Uffda! Enjoyed the POTENTIAL atmosphere but the lame UND game sucked all the energy away. Won't be going back anytime soon. Even Loyal Janhke looked like he should be doing something more productive on weekends like cleaning out his garage - and that guy is the BIGGEST fan of all! WE CAN DO BETTER CHAVES! We have too! 2 Quote

Apparently a thing of the past.... The other option (other than doing nothing) was to make it so the practice court under the bleachers was no longer usable. Until UND/REA decides to build a practice facility (fingers crossed, someday), things aren't going to be perfect on gameday if you still want functionality for practice and every day use. 1 1 Quote
