I know we don't like what happened with a certain someone on our favorite team, but this doesn't change how much I love this tournament and I'll absolutely be cheering on Team USA!

Sweden beat Slovakia 5-2 earlier and the US is beating Germany 2-0 after 1. James Hagens and Gabe Perrault have the goals for the Americans.

So, IIHF rule is different than the NHL. Trey should have had that shot though.

What's the rule? The guy going off on the change was CLEARLY still on the ice. I'm very curious.

Definitely should have been stopped, I agree.

They mentioned that as long as the player has one foot in the bench then that negates the offside

This happened to I want to say the Avs with Duchane where he was not in the play and making a line change while offside that lead to the winning goal. The goal was challenged, and he was called offsides they would end up losing. If I remember correctly, he had a foot on the bench. Steve Dangle argued on his show that it was a dumb to call the goal back since he was out of the play and changing and made no difference to the play.

He's logic is completely fine and I agree with it, but you can't have a loose standard, IMO.

I understood his point. You'd think the IIHF would be cut and dry on the call like they are with most of their calls.

The one I'm wondering changed was the man in the crease call when the puck isn't there you usually see in IIHF games.
