Hirsch's odd display

Wow! Lots of attention over the "nut job" comment. Gees, that was my nice version.

Can't remember who it was who asked (And really don't care), but you were interested in my parenting skills. I'm a parent twice over. I even have a wife, a dog and a cat. All are doing quite well, thanks.

If you kids are ok, it is obviously your wife's influence. As much as I cheer against the Gophers, I would never wish ill-will on any of their players. The right thing to do is to hope for the best for Mr. Hirsch and not make any juvenile comments as to his well being.

This implies mental health issues, but it would be wrong to assume it.  I think calling him a nut job is not called for, but I also wouldn't give him any excuses for his behavior.  The truth needs to come out before I give any breaks.  If he was just angry and did something stupid, he deserves to be laughed at.

To me it implies Hirsch is back with the team, the team was worried, and the chances of him playing this weekend are slim. After the roller coaster ride this story has taken I am (like many others) waiting for actual information before drawing any conclusions. It's been a long, strange trip.

You do know that making your kids wear Packer stuff is considered child abuse don't you?

So, are you SURE they're alright?

The biggest problem with your post is that Hirsch did not high five anyone leaving the ice. Some fan reached over and tried to high five him. Get your facts straight. As for the nut job comment, that's just bush league.

Good luck to Tyler. I'm glad to hear he is back with the team.

If you can't see that he clearly raises his <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=23&k=left%20hand" onmouseover="window.status='left hand'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">left hand</a> to "five" the guy then you're as blind as Hirsch is a NUT JOB.

he has embarased his team and school as well as showed zero respect for the arena workers- and he did this in front of thousands of people....he should not play again if he is unable to handle himself.

Just to be clear, are you a Gopher fan?

I think we'll see if Lucia puts his money where his mouth is. Remember how he ripped into Sandelin for playing Hagemo in the World Junior tourney. Well, somehow I don't think you get rid of mental issues in one week. I would expect him to be done for the year if Lucia practices what he preaches.
