SiouxMeNow
so they sold their soul for the chance to see their score scroll on the bottom of the screen on ESPN - who cares! I found this quote interesting.... "We tried to carry the flag for Division II," said North Dakota State women's basketball coach Amy Ruley, who led the Bison to five national titles in the 1990s. "But you could win a national title in D-II and hardly anyone knew. Philosophically, we fit better in D-I." and as soon as you win a Division I title...call me....(waiting...waiting..OH - It's NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!!!! man I bet those lowly DII Championships seem pretty cool right now) If NDSU wins a DI championship, guess what...NO ONE WILL STILL GIVE A DAMN!! it's WOMENS BASKETBALL!!! PS- maybe Amy has a crush on Pat Summit

You absolutely REEK of it. You personally seem to have a huge inferiority complex in relation to NDSU and you need to seek help right now.

Way to go amy, just schedule all the crap teams and build your winning percentage. It's funny, I heard Jack Michaels say the other day that amy isn't afraid of playing the good teams and that they have a good schedule. Well people, look up the bison womens basketball schedule once, it's a joke. The bison women will win a ton of games this year and everybody will say, "look how smart this move was now". Just look at who they are playing.

I can repeat that to you if you want me to. Coach Ruley has earned the right to schedule as little Division I teams as she wants, because she's a living legend in women's basketball coaching. If Gene "The Mighty Pornstachio" Roebuck tried setting up a cupcake schedule in the 2nd year of transition (if the Sioux ever move up, which they won't), there would be a larger outcry. You can trash the schedule all you want. This year is only the 2nd in a 5-year transition. The women's BB team won't be allowed to play more than three non-DI's next year. THE UND
Hey bisona...., Check out the future purgatory for your football team...Use the illustrious Northern Colorado program as an example of the near future...The Northern Colorado finished it's d1 season at a sterling 2-9. I think the first year might have been a fluke of scheduling but now it's reality. Why would you do that to your self?
SiouxperDave
The Northern Colorado finished it's d1 season at a sterling 2-9. UNC just needs to schedule patsies like Valpo, Weber St and Montana Tech to help pad their record.
ScottM
I hope your kidding. UND has been featured in the Twin Cities press multiple times within the past few years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to mention the NY Times, ESPN, SI, etc. Meanwhile, our poor retarded cousins have to content themselves with long bus trips to God knows where, an occasional glimpse on a ticker before a commercial for Viagra and hoping to God they don't run too far over-budget in the continuing saga of "What if 'SU went D1-AA for Chaps' hubris, and nobody outside of the F-M area gave a damn".
