Ba Ba Canoosh Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Let's face it...Johnson is a North Dakota boy and this is where his heart is. If he wants to come home, he will make it work if the opportunity presents itself. I wish him well. Quote
PCM Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Good guess. Actually, it wasn't a guess. But if I told you the name of my anonyomous source, I'd instantly lose credibility. Quote
skateshattrick Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Actually, it wasn't a guess. But if I told you the name of my anonyomous source, I'd instantly lose credibility. What is your educated "guess" as to who will get the job? Quote
PCM Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 What is your educated "guess" as to who will get the job? Given his extensive vocabulary, my money's on SiouxMeNow. Seriously, I have an opinion on who I think might get the job, but it's not based on any "insider information." Quote
jloos Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Seriously, I have an opinion on who I think might get the job, but it's not based on any "insider information." Ok, I'll end the speculation. After much thought I've decided to apply for the Assistant coach position, even after the way I was snubbed for the head job. I decided to post here before the Herald breaks the story. Quote

Greenbayguy Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 Come on, name an assistant coach already! I know it takes time to post and all, but this is getting crazy. Is Johnson in, or not? Seems that's the main question to answer. No offense jloos, but he seems to be the top choice. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 The closing date for applications was 07/28/04. http://www.UND.nodak.edu/org/hr/professnl.htm Quote

teamsioux Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 Well, Virg should have had his anonymous source whispering in his ear by now who it is. Quote
Fedorov Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 Well, Virg should have had his anonymous source whispering in his ear by now who it is. I heard PCM turned down both jobs. He doesn't want to be the assistant coach, or the anonymous source. Quote

Bubz Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 According to the Channel 8 sports guy, we can expect an answer by Friday as to whether Johnson is staying or going. Pulled off of Lincolns ezboard. Would this be the same anonymous source who stated BB signed already? Quote
dagies Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Pulled off of Lincolns ezboard. Would this be the same anonymous source who stated BB signed already? That may not mean Johnson's been offered the job. If it is true, it could be that the assistant coach, who ever it is, will be named by that time. Quote

I guess I look at it differant. The way I see it, Johnson was already offered the job and has either accepted it, or declined. We'll know today what his decision was. If he declined, I think there will be more interviews. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 I was told that Pat Sweeney had the list of applicants for the job on the WDAZ sports last night. How come no one has posted it here yet? Quote
Goon Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 I was told that Pat Sweeney had the list of applicants for the job on the WDAZ sports last night. How come no one has posted it here yet? Because no one watches Pat Sweeney. I suppose, just a hunch. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Because no one watches Pat Sweeney. I suppose, just a hunch. Come on people! Sometimes you have to take the good (Sioux hockey information) with the bad (no comment). Quote

Bubz Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Didn't Imes win a championship or two coaching the Pittsburgh Forge? Quote
sprig Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Didn't Imes win a championship or two coaching the Pittsburgh Forge? NOt listed as playing or coaching there. Was part of Maine's NCAA championship team (was it 92), and I believe was an Olympian. Whoops, listed as AC in 00-01 at Tri-City; not listed since. Quote
