  1. It's the memories of my Dad taking me to my first Sioux hockey game in November, 1964. It was in the old barn, and the chicken wire on the end-boards being supported by old hockey sticks is my first memory of that building. It was a flippin quanset for crying out loud, and it was colder than snot. The ice was fast, and the crowds were boisterous, but it was the bonding experience through all those years with my dad that I will always cherish...
  2. We can all agree that this years team has the talent to get it done. However, we have also had teams in the past under Hak that had the talent to get #8. My biggest concern at this time of year is the coaches having the team mentally prepared. I am hoping and praying that the seniors can step up and fill in the gap, and help the rest of the team keep their focus. THIS IS YOUR TIME BOYS - GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SIOUX!!!
  3. So - does that mean that Direct TV will no longer have Sioux hockey on FSN? I'm thinking of switching from Dish to Direct TV just so I can watch Sioux hockey...
  4. The barn had a certain magic to it, even though it pales in comparison to the new Ralph. I remember going to my first Sioux game with my Dad in November, 1964. It was against Michigan and I witnessed my first hockey fight. I was in the second grade, and I thought how cool was that to see blood on the ice. Between periods, my buddies and I would walk under the stands looking for treasure (pucks, sticks, money). Witnessed alot of inebriated adults in those days. The consession stands used to sell hot Dr. Pepper in a styrofoam cup with a lemon in it. It sounds gross, but it was awsome when it was -20 inside
  5. Like my Grandpa always says - are those whiskers close enough to be neighbors?
  6. Let's put it this way. If Murphy gets elected and the BoHE still sticks to the Oct 1st deadline. There will be a torch and pitch fork scene that will boggle the mind. Let's hope Grant Shaft keeps his word on this.

  8. I heard Craig Perry may be interested...
  9. Hats off to Ron His Horse is Thunder and his ability to "grease the squeeky wheel". You may be able to take the name and logo off of UND's jersey's, but you will not be able to snatch the name from the student's and alumni's hearts.
  10. LOL Sioux-cia!!! That's exactly what what's wrong with (most) who oppose the name/logo. Like Dennis Leary says: lifes hard - wear a f*%$ing helmet. If you base your happiness on how seeing the name/logo makes you feel, then maybe psychotropic medications needs to be applied. You can only get over it when you get over yourself
  11. I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but I thought this video was pretty amazing! It is on Youtube under UND Fighting Sioux Hockey. It is called LEGENDS and should be played before every game! If this doesn't fire you up, I don't know what will! GO SIOUX!
  12. Force/Farce what's the diffence with the Fargo team?
  13. Are you referring to the split in the 13 stripe ground squirrle's teeth?
  14. Can't you just feel the love? Like farmer Yasser once said: "long hair, short hair, what the hell's the difference once the heads blowed off?"
  15. I don't think that they are "tired and fatigued". I think that Jackson has brought in a watered down version on how he wants Sioux Hockey to be played. I just don't plain like it. The defense needs to step out of their flip flops and start hitting people!!! This isn't Sioux Hockey - it's Flickertail hockey. Break out the pink dresses.
