Here's a bit of sweet history.

When Tech left the WCHA in '81, it held The Cup, and took the Cup with it!!

Didn't give it back. They brought it back when they rejoined the league three years later.

Geez. You think they are gonna be jinxed for years? Besides having a mediocre team.

Great town though.

Tech owns the Cup. If they leave the WCHA, they take it with them.
