sorry, i was offline, yes I do not have inside knowledge despite my residence.  I was forwarded the insta post that @cberkas linked

I can’t find anything on this and Exposition Park doesn’t show an arena in the plans.

fake news?  I didn't do any research, I trusted my friend I guess...

I always look just about every where on things just to make sure. Last year a bunch of schools used ASU’s arena and photoshopped their logos and some were pretty good.

for the life of me i cannot find anywhere saying where TSU is gonna play there home games this fall..

you wonder if fenton met with TSU brass and said you get the funding for a 6-7k arena (helped by the nhl and the preds) you get a nchc/summit league membership invite

wonder how quickly they could get the money raised if that was was dangled or promised.....

Pretty sure they are playing at least one at bridgestone in addition to that.

if they get a rink built they would be a great addition to the nchc/summit.

Guessing this person saw CCHA people.  I assume every league is in town for the frozen four.

maybe it was fenton....

kick out miami and SCSU and add tsu and Lindy....Nashville and St Louis markets....

if summit is adding a few schools....would take tsu and Lindy over Utah tech or southern Utah any day....

I don't think hockey is on the table for the Summit right now, at all.  The Summit doesn't need additional team sports anymore, because the NCAA changed the rules which required a conference to sponsor a minimum quantity of team sports.  The hockey schools already voted this down by a large margin the first time it was brought up, we haven't heard any rumors since, and I highly doubt the addition of ASU makes Summit hockey any more likely.

Per Matt Brown, the Summit is currently targeting Utah Valley, and they would potentially offer Utah Tech (Dixie State) and SUU if that helps them secure Utah Valley.
TSU doesn't have the money to pay for Summit League travel, let alone NCHC hockey.  Lindenwood would be a good fit for the SL, but their hockey program isn't close to being "there" yet - the CCHA would be a great fit and it would be a conference that would enable the program to grow... they would be buried forever in the NCHC, even deeper than Miami is, and they have a decent history/tradition and high end facilities, of their own.

The Utah Valley comment is interesting.  Was that in the newsletter he released today?  I really don't see what Utah Valley brings and I really don't see what SUU and Utah Tech bring.  So, the value is in numbers..  which means schools are leaving.

If Summit Hockey and Summit Football comes around it's bc of streaming.  All under one umbrella....Summit League instead of Summit, MVFC, and NCHC....one app...everything.

If TSU doesn't have money for Summit travel do Utah Tech (endowment of 16M) or SUU (30M)...I know endowment isn't everything but TSU is at 91M and in a major market and has a major league airport. nchc travel would be eaiser than ccha travel by the looks of it.

ST Louis and nashville and the nhl need to step up and expedite the arenas for both schools.

Miami is Miami...smallish school in small city in middle of nowhereville...TSU is in Nashville....easy sell on city for young men  and IF they can raise money for NIL and a 5k or more arena they would do just fine in the nchc

Lindenwood...same thing....raise some money for NIL and get a 5k or more arena and they will be fine...

just saying that i'd prefer TSU and Lindy over those crappy Utah schools...summit or nchc or both.....

wheres fenton

At the State of College Hockey Press Conference, Steve Chapman (Executive VP St. Louis Blues) Alluded to "another University is talking about going D-1." He made it sound like it would be in St. Louis. Maryville and SLU (SLU was a CCHA member from 1971-79) are the two in St. Louis Metro, Missouri, Missouri State, Dury (shares arena with Missouri State), and UMKC (doesn't have a ACHA team).

Maryville is the logical choice on who Chapman is talking about with maybe St. Louis coming back. Maryville plays in a 2,000 seat arena that could be expanded to add a sheet with around 4,000 seats, or Maryville could share The Centene Community Ice Center with Lindenwood. St. Louis plays in both Maryville University Ice Center (Maryville) and The Centene Community Ice Center (Lindenwood). Chaifetz Arena on SLU's campus doesn't have ice making ability.

UMKC has two arenas in the area (T-Mobile Center, and Cable Dahmer Arena) but no ACHA team, so this is highly unlikely. Mizzou needs an arena and would love to see A Walton or Kroenke help fund and build arena for them. There ACHA D2 team looks to be a decent team that moved up from ACHA D3. Missouri State and Dury are the ACHA D1 teams but would need a bigger arena they could share.

If any school makes the jump, I'd put money on it being Mayville.

Since UNLV has won their ACHA National Title, Las Vegas has been celebrating the team success.

Sounds like next season they are trying to play 6 NCAA D1 teams.

Of all the schools mentioned I would say Missouri State is a school trying to make some moves upwards.....

Lee's Family Form or Orleans Arena would be the better choices. Depends on what the Golden Knights charge them to play there vs playing at Lee's Family Form or Orleans Arena.

This is somewhat relevent.  Maryville has been considering building a 3k seat e sports arena of some sort and they cancelled their plans.  They could or maybe are working to incorporate hockey into a new development plan?

https://www.westnewsmagazine.com/news/maryville-withdraws-redevelopment-plans-for-woods-mill-center/article_0d96b16a-4042-11ee-a460-8fcdf80a4980.html

Hockey makes a lot of sense for D2 schools because the can capitalize on the visibility of having a D1 program without the need to dump millions more, annually, into funding non rev sports at the D1 level.

Awesome!  Link?

My guess: TSU, both Alaskas.  Simon Fraser would make a ton of sense as well.
