UND92,96 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 UNI lost at home to Lehigh today. Western Illinois won at Coastal Carolina.
darell1976 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Just to save for posterity's sake: NDSU home playoff attendance 6,100 - 1976 Montana State 2,200 - 1977 Northern Michigan 4,300 - 1982 Virginia Union 5,600 - 1983 Towson State 13,758 - 1984 UC Davis 11,090 - 1984 Nebraska Omaha 12,092 - 1986 Ashland 12,380 - 1986 Central State of Ohio 7,500 - 1988 Augustana College 10,200 - 1988 Millersville 13,200 - 1988 Cal State Sacramento 8,400 - 1989 Edinboro 7,103 - 1990 Northern Colorado 8,253 - 1990 Cal Poly 9,086 - 1990 Pitt State 4,839 - 1991 Mankato State 6,230 - 1992 Northeast Missouri What was capacity at Dakotah Field? Wow. Big turnaround from the 1988 playoffs to 1989 and beyond. What happened?
Cratter Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Is there going to be statewide TV for the biggest football game in NDSU history? Yes on NBC.
WYOBISONMAN Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 UNI lost at home to Lehigh today. Western Illinois won at Coastal Carolina. Wow, I wonder what happened to the Panthers these last couple games.
Cratter Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 7-0 RM scored on the opening drive. Didn't expect that. Lots of run plays. The quarterback likes to run.
farce poobah Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 In case anyone didn't see it already, link to webcast from NCAA.com: http://www.ncaa.com/allaccess/?media=213983 7-3 mid-2nd period. RoMo with the ball at midfield.
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Bison recover muffed punt at the 5, RM holds on 4th and goal on the 1, 13-7 NDSU 6:00 3rd.
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Bison score again, 20-7 2:00 left 3rd. RM has no offense this half.
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 RM scores with help of bad penalty call, 20-14 end of 3rd.
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 RM picks one off at the 50, driving inside the 25.
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Bison score again after a long screen pass, 27-17 NDSU 9:00 left.
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Bison sack QB in endzone for safety, 29-17 and driving after free kick.
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Bison punch another one in, 36-17 and the rout is on. RM hung around for 3 quarters but it's all Bison now.
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Bison score again after Int., 43-17. Attendence announced at 12,200, little lower than I thought they would have.
coachdags Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Did Sioux Hockey out draw the 1st playoff game ever in the Fargodome......?
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Did Sioux Hockey out draw the 1st playoff game ever in the Fargodome......? Close, I think the REA holds about 11,800 but if they had more seats they probably would have.
jodcon Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 And it ends 43-17, looks like a blowout in the box score but it was a 3 point game early in the 4th.
WYOBISONMAN Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I was shocked at how much difference it makes having Brock Jensen at QB. The Bison actually had an offense at times. It seemed Jensen was rather rusty until the 4th quarter. The Defense was very good as it has been for most of the season.

Don't kid yourself the Bison wore down a team with 28 scholarships today and won in the fourth quarter. Montana State plays with the full 63 so they'll probably win by three plus scores. Today's outcomes just proved how !@#!$ the MVFC was this season. The three MVFC schools basically got set up with three byes and still only managed to advance only two schools. It will be nice watching MSU kick Bison ass next week. 1

That's a lot to put in MSUs lap. They lost badly to Northern Arizona, won a 2 point game at home to Northern Colorado, and had a 3 point win at Idaho State for goodness' sake. I think MSU will win, but not by the margin you are suggesting.
WYOBISONMAN Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 If the offense shows up for the Bison it could be a very tight game.....I still would give the edge to the Cats.
ndsubison1 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 If I may, I'll try to get away from all of the NDSU v. RMU talk.............(for the record, I fully expect NDSU to throttle Bob Morris this weekend). Here's the FCS playoff bracket. So, what are everybody's thoughts? We all used talk pretty diligently about the DII playoffs.................let's move on up! I'm picking William & Mary and Eastern Washington to meet up in Frisco in January. IMO the lower bracket is all about Delaware and William & Mary, there won't be a close game until the semis. W&M beat the Blue Hens by one at home earlier this season. Seems like the upper bracket has more parody with Appalachian St, Stephen F. Austin, Eastern Washington, Montana St, and even Villanova. I think if EWU gets a second chance at Montana St., they'll come out on top. EWU has been playing much better football the 2nd half of the season than has MSU. App St. has to be the favorite, out of the upper bracket, the Big Sky fan in me has to root for EWU or MSU if they get there. Also, I'm not positve that App St. would match up well with Stephen F. Austin if they meet up. As of now (the day before ) I'm picking Eastern Washington to win it all, defeating William & Mary in the title game. I reserve my right to reconsider Saturday night. william and mary is a solid pick. they have a great defense and nearly knocked off UNC a few weeks ago. i think they win it
