sprig Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 Maybe that's all we get, since it was about at this time in the game against MDU when it started working. Quote

mksioux Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 mksioux: Said he also visited a couple of other MAAC schools, but said he chose UND because he got a better academic scholarship. Perry asked him if he had any doubts about making the team & Foyt said after a few practices with the squad he was confident he had the needed talent. Parise out with an unspecified injury... Thanks for the re-cap phoenix. Goal by Concordia. Quote
NorthDakotaHockey Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 I tried the dataflix deal. Freebie tonight. Worked for awhile, and then, kaput. Not sure it is reliable enough to drop dough. I did not even notice. Is Hennessey announcing the dataflix game as well, or are there different announcers. I was so enthralled with watching moving pictures on my computer screen that I did not notice. Geez, a ppg for Concordia. 6-1. Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted October 12, 2003 Author Posted October 12, 2003 Maybe that's all we get, since it was about at this time in the game against WMD when it started working. Why pay for only a partial game, though? 6-1 Sioux. Quote

sprig Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 Think that was Concordia's first shot of the period. Quote
NorthDakotaHockey Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 Sprig . . . . Your avatar is the greatest. Second only, to perhaps, Sioux Fan in Phoenix. Cool that such a good looking woman from Sun Country is a big Sioux fan! Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted October 12, 2003 Author Posted October 12, 2003 That's the downside to playing a crappy team that doesn't get many shots on goal--a goalie's save % goes to hell if said crappy team scores... Quote
mksioux Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 7-1 final the big question is the status of ZP Quote
sprig Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 Better bring back the Manitoba Bison. They were better. Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted October 12, 2003 Author Posted October 12, 2003 7-1 Sioux...Porter from Stafford. Game over. NDH: It'd be nice if I actually knew that woman Quote
Shawn-O Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 The injury is to his MCL. Whether it's a strain or tear, they won't know until Sunday. Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted October 12, 2003 Author Posted October 12, 2003 All Blais said about Zach is that he was twisting when he went into the boards. Announcers saying something about a possible MCL but not sure--just speculating; will be evaluated on Monday... Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted October 12, 2003 Author Posted October 12, 2003 RubeIdiot: You're right, it is an MCL issue... Quote
mksioux Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 The way it sounds, there's no way he plays next weekend and may be out for a significant period of time. Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted October 12, 2003 Author Posted October 12, 2003 They're saying it takes a lot longer with a sprain than a tear...Parise looked somber in the dressing room, according to Hennessy... Quote
Shawn-O Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 Tim says it's Zach's right MCL, which will be evaluated tomorrow. Tim said that's as somber as he's seen Zach in the locker room following a game. Quote
redwing77 Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 Also, Prpich looked like he was hurting the entire game. No Jones, Foyt, Schneider, Palmo, and J Parise... Am I missing anyone? I missed the Zach injury If that's the case, we may be in trouble vs BC. Quote
PCM Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 I talked to Zach after the game. He said he went down the wrong way on his left knee and heard a pop. He tried to go for another shift, but couldn't push off on it. They decided to take him out of the game to avoid further damage. They probably won't know exactly what the problem is until Monday. He looked like he was walking without much trouble and seemed to be in pretty good spirits under the circumstances. He said if they'd been playing BC, he would have stayed in the game. Now I have to write a recap for USCHO. Quote
ScottM Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 They're saying it takes a lot longer with a sprain than a tear...Parise looked somber in the dressing room, according to Hennessy... Well, this sucks, especially for "non game". Not sure where Hennessy got his information, but a standard MCL sprain generally is less problematic than a tear with a 2-4 week rehab period, unless the ACL went too. Either way, if anything major needs to be done, I'd hope the work is done by people who have a hot clue. Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted October 12, 2003 Author Posted October 12, 2003 Thx, PCM. Somewhat promising news given the circumstances *walking without much trouble*...Any drs. or pre-meds out there that care to offer their opinion? ScottM: Tim's color guy said that. He said that sprains typically aggravate a lot longer & that it takes longer to get up to speed than a tear. Said something to the effect that if it were a tear he could go under the knife & rehab quicker (unless I heard it bass ackwards)... Quote

My brother tore his ACL and was out of sports for well over 6 months. Quote
