mksioux Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 If they don't fix this fast, they better offer another free trial or nobody's going to buy the thing. Quote
sprig Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Streaming Audio: http://www.fightingsioux.com/info/broadcast/ Quote
ramses Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Every time I try to connect it just says it can't contact the server (and takes away one of my 5 tries!) Glad I didn't pay for this or I'd be demanding a refund. I thought after the first football game this was going to be the example of them doing it right with everything fixed? Quote
UMDDogz Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Warpradio.com Enter call letters KDAL for the Duluth broadcast. If you don't mind listening to foreign announcers, it may not cut out as much. Quote
mksioux Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 This is total crap. I skipped a party that my wife wanted me to go to so I could watch this preview. Now I'm half in the dog-house for nothing. Quote
jimdahl Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 To save a little navigating through other pages: Direct link to UND's audio (also on the front hockey page ) Direct link to Duluth's audio (KDAL) I stayed home intentionally to see this preview, too (otherwise wouldn't have bothered for the audio of an exhibition game). Quote
U2Bad1 Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Another major gripe. I thought all the home sioux games were state-wide on midcontinent?? It's nowhere to be seen on any of my channels here in Bismarck Quote
Shawn-O Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 I stayed home intentionally to see this preview, too (otherwise wouldn't have bothered for the audio of an exhibition game). It counts in the PWR as a non-conference game. Quote
sprig Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 I have 1 view left; maybe can watch it archived if they ever fix this garbage Quote
jimdahl Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 It counts in the PWR as a non-conference game. Touch Quote

sprig Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 sprig-- at least for football, the archives are something that have to be purchased separately. Buying the game doesn't entitle you to the archived copy. Great, I thought the 5 views gave you the chance to watch it again later after you viewed it live. Maybe it's buffering for a period Quote
mksioux Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Great, I thought the 5 views gave you the chance to watch it again later after you viewed it live. Maybe it's buffering for a period I thought that if you buy the package the archives are included, but that you can't get the archive on a free preview. Quote
sprig Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Looks like we got what we paid for; with a bit of free frustration added. Quote
soSIOUXme Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 I am watching on tv. it is on channel 8 ABC . not in listings though Quote
jimdahl Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 I thought that if you buy the package the archives are included, but that you can't get the archive on a free preview. I could be wrong, but after the free football trial didn't work well for me, I purchased the Augustana game to check it out again (item #709). When I hit "watch" on that product page I get nothing. When I go to the Augustana archive page (product #242), there's no "watch" link, but rather a "buy for $2.95" link. Could be an isolated error, but that's what happened to me. Quote
sprig Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 If this is the way it's going to work, they'll have to sneak in a few more "surprise" charges to get any $. Does appear that someone turned off the server. Quote
Schmitzzz Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 I was told that if you buy the $100 package that you can go back and watch the game later for free. But if you buy the individual games you have to watch it live. Quote
OETKB Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Is ANYONE getting the webcast? A different screen comes up for me than for the football webcasts. It says "Dataflix movie player" instead of "Ralph Engelstad Arena" and there is no picture, although the free previews are working. This leads me to believe the problem is on their end. Anyone? Quote
sprig Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 A down server somewhere. It can't be working for anyone. Quote
mksioux Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 I get the Dataflix Movie Player window as well. I wonder if anyone who actually has purchased the package already can get the game? Quote
DamStrait Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Not getting anything as of yet. I e-mailed their tech support, but haven't heard anything back yet. As soon as I do, I'll share the info. Suggest all contact them and let them know how disappointed we are. Quote
UMDDogz Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 Not working here either. Yes, Dataflix movie player is the window that opens. Quote
soSIOUXme Posted October 5, 2003 Posted October 5, 2003 according to the error message details, the player cannot connect to the server. I emailed using the only link I could find, but I doubt anyone will see it till the game is long over Quote
