Sioux_Hab-it Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 http://www.ifallsdailyjournal.com/news/spo...chooses-bsu-105 it looks like they've added Fisher from the Gophers. Maybe Fisher would like to get in a little more post season play. Quote

HaksHomey Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Kemp out is the best bet. Hopefully, but i have my fingers crossed its WCHA related Quote
The Sicatoka Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Kemp is gone. No WCHA news. False alarm. Kemp gone removes one of the biggest obstructions to Omaha coming to the WCHA. Speculative UNO coach list: Mike Hastings. Steve Johnson. Dean Blais. Cary Eades? Quote

The Sicatoka Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 You forgot one.......Brad Berry. I'll send Cary if it gets Brad back working with UND's defensemen. Quote

Cary Eades? Would Blais take another kick at the NHL can with the Wild? Or has that ship sailed?? I think getting Brad Berry back in the mix at UND would be HUGE. Quote

I think getting Brad Berry back in the mix at UND would be HUGE. Berry is a great coach - so is the Bird - it's a wash as far as I'm concerned. I would hate to have to play a team coached by Eades. I think it's Dean's job if he wants it. If SJ had more college experience he would be more of a contender. Quote

Cary Eades? Fiona Quick's twitter said that Hastings will be the front runner. Former Gopher assistant coach Mike Guentzel will compete with current assistant Mike Hastings but Hastings is favorite for job at UNO. Quote

Actually from the same twitter word is that: Word on the street is there are several people pushing for Dean Blais as the next head coach of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers QuickFacts expects Golden Gopher freshman phenom Jordan Schroeder to sign an NHL professional contract following NHL Entry Draft in June. The Sicatoka Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 There's a reason Hastings appeared as the first name on my list. Economy is bad; no school wants to buy out a contract; Lucia is safe until the clock runs out on his deal. If Schroeder goes, gone are the two threats Minnesota had this year that could generate their own chances. Quote
roper1313 Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 IMO, it's Hastings job to lose. He's someone that the entire communtiy of Omaha knows and would do a great job being the face of the program. I've heard very good things about Mike. Quote

Rumbling some want Blaiser to coach the Gophers. Quote
