I encourage you to go out to NY in August 2027, check it out, cheer on the team to a crucial DI road victory to start the year then home versus Valpo which I understand is an underwhelming opponent but a good tune up for the following home game the next week versus Big Sky opponent and former FBS program Idaho - nice game the following week will be a Midwest home game versus Iowa, an excellent opportunity vs a Big 10 team not a bad non-conference schedule to be honest Yeah, we get a lot of press and notoriety beating a Valpo and LIU. Bring it on, I'm so excited! 1 Quote

There is nothing to be gained playing garbage like this. Iron sharpens iron, as they used to say. We need quality opponents to get tuned up. It's gotten to the point that some of the Valley teams are bottom of the barrel quality. We don't need non con Murray State teams. 1 Quote
southpaw Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago You don't get to see what your backups can do - and give them real game experience- when you're only playing fully competitive games. It's a long season, you need to get those young players and backups experience early so they can be ready for the hard games. 2 Quote

Reasonable comment, but I think the talent they face in practice is probably better than 90% of the kids on LIU and Valpo. Traveling to Long Island can be difficult. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I’m siding with ‘paw on this: you can’t simulate game reps. And seven wins against FCS is the ante. Get them. Quote

Bring it on, I'm so excited! it worked wonders for the ndac......every time they beat wofford or valp they had dozens and dozens of fans at the airport (technically the amtrak station).... Quote
