nodakvindy Posted March 2, 2008 Share Posted March 2, 2008 Here's the whole list of WCHA teams that have won the regular season title and the national title. 1952-53 Minnesota/Michigan 1956-57 Colorado College 1957-58 North Dakota/Denver (These teams actually faced each other in the national title game) 1959-60 Denver 1960-61 Denver 1964-65 Michigan Tech 1967-68 Denver 1976-77 Wisconsin 1979-80 North Dakota 1986-87 North Dakota 1989-90 Wisconsin 1996-97 Minnesota/North Dakota 2004-05 Colorado College/Denver You can add the 1962-63 and 1981-82 North Dakota clubs to this list. They were regular season champs, but didn't win the MacNaughton Cup because from 62-65 the Cup went to the playoff champ and the 1982 championship occurred during the Cups dark time in the CCHA.
