FSU fans on Twitter sure are thrilled huh? Who knew we were listening to real, elite D1 talent…. I do wonder what Jeff is going to be smug about when he no longer works for the best team in the country…… so is this Brake’s big break so we can hear some more elite play by play talent on the biggest stage in the state?
-
That would be an upgrade for NDSU. I love Jack calling games. Reminds me of listening to games while hunting down the backroads of ND with my late grandpa. Ah the good ole days…….
-
That makes much more sense because the reporting has not been very clear on this point. Anyone contact Barstool to tell them he still calls himself a Barstool Athlete? They might want that taken down…

Two different victims?

How is the AD or Bubba going to kick a kid off the the team for rumors? Until a title 9 complaint is filed it would be hard to justify kicking a guy off the team if a criminal investigation was dropped. Otis passed a lie detector test so he had that on his side. Did Otis get some kind of legal advice before the hearing? Did he try to appeal the decision? I have a feeling he may not have know how this could have all blown up by trying to transfer or maybe he just ignored all the warnings?
-
You are found either guilty or innocent at a Title IX hearing. They are not the same as a criminal trial but those are the correct terms for a Title IX hearing. sounds like none of his credits would have even transferred if he was still suspended and tried to transfer. The university will typically not release your transcript if you are suspended.

Tom Miller needs the facts on what is going on . He is not going to write an article on hearsay or rumors and UND was not going to disclose any information. The Mo State coaches do not need facts to figure out what is going on with Otis. There is no way these rumors would not have gotten to those coaches. What take that risk on a guy and jeopardize your program and university’s image?
-
In the end it is all hearsay because UND would not comment on the issue if approached by Miller. Why report on hearsay and risk your reputation and liability if the rumors were not true?

The lawsuit was filed Thursday in U.S. District Court, North Dakota, Eastern Division, on behalf of Emily Becker, 19, of Grand Forks; Calli Forsberg, 20, of Devils Lake; Morgan Stenseth, 19, of Grand Forks; and Maya Tellman, 18, of Grand Forks. do any of these women even attend UND? How do we know they would have been good enough to even make the team? This frivolous lawsuit should be thrown out immediately!
-
It was a Title IX hearing that he was found guilty in, not a criminal hearing. That’s how he got suspended for 5 years from UND. They can’t give you that kind of punishment for nothing.
-
It’s called Title IX. She didn’t pursue criminal charges because she did not want her name in the public. Right or wrong that’s the federal law.
-
So do Mope State coaches live under a log? You could have easily learned what was going on with Otis by putting in little effort. What does that say about your program????
-
He was found guilty in his title IX hearing. That is a federal law that lays out how colleges should handle sexual assault accusations. He maybe could appeal but he has already been found guilty once.

What a dumb move by Weah. Instead of moving on and being thankful there was no criminal case he could have moved on with his live and take a low profile, his EGO told him it was a good idea to try and transfer because there was no way this allegation was going to stop his football career. Why would he think this transfer would go through without anyone finding out about his suspension???!!! Now this suspension and allegation will follow him on the internet FOREVER! Seriously who is giving this kid advice needs to STOP. What a shame…….
-
Wow really? So much for Mo State’s vetting of their players…… you would have thought they would have looked into this first….. egg on the face of their local media too…….
-
Who is going to bankroll those programs?
-
Who loves Minot State enough to bankroll D1 hockey? Please don’t say Josh Duhamel……. Fp
-
Sather: Do you want to be the Summit Freshman of the year? Recruit: Yes Sather: UND is where you go to be the top freshman Recruit: I’m in! ( thinking in the back of his mind of all the D1 offers to the last FoY)
-
Minot has a far ways to get even to the Bemidji St level. Who would want them in their league? …….. calling Alabama Huntsville…….. seriously get out of here with this nonsense about Minot State going D1. UND has a better chance at going FBS in football before that would ever happen.
-
NCAA D3 is a step above acha. Let me ask you who supports anything Minot outside of people in Minot??? People avoid going to Minot like the plague. If the state fair or hostfest was in Bismarck, Fargo, of GF the attendance would easily double.
-
Would be a waste to have another D1 team in the state especially in Minot. MSU is becoming a small fish in a big fish pond with the big D1 schools that are adding hockey. Minot should stay D3 or lower.
-
I think you are all confused down at MSU….. this was not your ordinary transfer situation. People are not outraged he picked MSU, they are outraged about what he said and how he tried to act like he was transferring to play for a winning mentality team. Honestly we are shocked any F1 team picked him up after what the rumors are saying. He was forced to transfer because of the rumors that may actually be true. Your media guy is not doing your administration any favors in running any story on Otis let alone an article that avoids the obvious questions on the real reason he left UND. The MSU administration is not pissed because you guys recruited a rival schools star player. They are pissed because of the liability they have given the university by recruiting a potentially controversial figure in the me too era. This could blow up and it won’t be pretty in the media. They may also need to figure out how to get Otis enrolled if he really did not attend classes this spring. There is a betting chance this all will fall through and he won’t even be able to be on the roster this semester. Time will tell….
-
Otis was an all American and the best team he could get was Mo St????? Something doesn’t add up because not many teams at all were beating down the doors to get him. Why did Otis really transfer? Forced out? Or does he really want to blame his old team’s winning mentality? Why would you transfer down or even laterally if you are getting playing time? Did he really think he would get FBS offers? This journalist is not doing his job, also Tom Miller could be asking more questions!

Tell us how you really feel Kelly! I can only imagine what he thinks of Bobby after this incident when he wasn’t the biggest fan to start….
