Yeah those egos are not getting any smaller…….. NDSU has proven they can recruit G5 talent but recruiting P5 talent is unproven. How will NDSU win recruiting battles against Minnesota and Wisconsin once they are FBS?

Thought I read it somewhere. Am I wrong ? I can’t read the article. I thought it was 3 million a year or maybe 3 million per year total with all their contracts combined

How many recruiting battles did you win this year against P5 schools? So you really think G5 talent is gonna compete with the big boys every single week?

NDSU’s media market must be bigger than just Fargo if their media contract is 3 million +. That’s bigger than the CUSA and Sunbelt payouts (dwarfs them) and is very similar to MAC and MWC payouts. There is no doubt they could make it as a G5 team but no conference wants them because of their geography. Anyone that thinks they can beat the P5 teams week after week are delusional. G5 level talent isn’t gonna cut it against the P5 and they are not going to win recruiting battles against the P5.

Yeah my opinion is reality, yours is asinine! D2 to FCS moves are relatively easy . FCS to G5 also wouldn’t be that hard for NDSU. We are talking magnitudes more difficult to go P5. Be my guest and embarrass yourself in the football community with those aspirations!

I’m not talking G5. P5 is a pipe dream that won’t happen in this lifetime. look at Montana and Montana State. Montana is the bigger football school with much more national notoriety, but their school is in decline, dropping enrollment. Then look at Montana St, booming university. enrollment is exploding and the academics is following. Which school is more primed for FBS? Montana St.! They may even be better positioned to go FBS than NDSU. These are just the hurdles to get to the G5, P5 is not reality.

If NDSU isn’t desirable right now for an invite what will it take? Bigger TV market? How about better academics, research and bigger enrollment. P5 is about more than TV markets and a good football team. You need to have a top tier University in order to ever be considered for a P5 conference. I’m 20 years NDSU will be just as far away from the P5 as it is now! Who knows if they will even get a G5 invite in 20 years!

Minot’s parking ramps are a completely different scenario. They were designed to have a building on top of them and not a jerry rigged roof. The city’s engineers failed to keep the corporation to hold up their side of the deal. Minot needed the parking space , but not horribly designed ramps! UND’s ramp is much nicer and useful.

They used to and it was pretty slick especially when running late.

I paid good money to park in it and I thought it was worth it! plus it was built to save space on campus to allow for more parking, especially when we build that new partially enclosed stadium on campus!

Do they still do that for the parking ramp?

Or a Northern CUSA!

P5 isn’t happening. 9 FCS championships barely raised enrollment. NDSU going P5 one day is a Pipe Dream! NDSU is not Cincinnati, Houston or UCF!!!!! but be my guest and lose credibility!

So when is NDSU going to magically raise their enrollment to 30k, 40k, 50k? Or even to 20k? Are more students going to be clamoring to get to good ole Fargo once you tack on hundreds of dollars in student fees? NDSU isn’t a private university so they need to have a respectable enrollment like the rest of the P5 land grant schools. At this point the P5 is just as much a possibility for UND as it is for NDSU……… 0.00001% chance! Research, Academics, Enrollment, Athletics all need to drastically improve to ever become a P5 school. NDSU can’t even get a G5 invite so let’s start there before even considering a potential P5 move!

First off I rather the team have an outbreak now than in the tournament. Secondly we are all going to get this new variant because masks no longer work and the vaccine doesn’t prevent it. Third they are college kids that are going to party in some fashion and it now only takes one individual to spread it in a small space.

Weren’t most of the people standing there at the game alone or maybe with a buddy or two? Now they have to buy tickets in sets of 2. Are these the most expensive tickets in the building now?

No way the P5 allows a 12 team playoff with auto bids for each G5 conference. The G5 has not earned autobids to a 12 team playoff let alone some of the P5 conferences….

Dom thinks they will be the next Cincinnati but they are not going to get there playing in the CUSA or MAC. Cinci would not have made the 12 team playoff if they didn’t have the rankedvNotre Dame win.

Just move to FBS already and put your money where your mouth is. It gets tiring watching a varsity team beat up on a bunch of JV teams and their fans think they are gods gift to football

I’m still wondering what NDSU was missing in 2020 and the first half of 2021. I have a theory………. was the Newman juice not available in 2020 because of Covid and did they not start getting the juice again until the second half of the season? NDSU was not the same team that played UND and that won the championship. Would this explain why Clemson sucks not too because they couldn’t get the Newman juice?

It is the I’ve championship but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want to win it. Why is it JV? A Saturday noon kickoff on a soccer field on ESPN 2. No respect. What was on ESPN 2 during prime time that night ? Basketball,!that’s where UND needs to invest!
