  1. Ben Newman certainly isn't going to top programs and saying, "be careful, this will test positive if you follow the instructions" It makes more sense that Newman for the most part has beat the system and extensive internal testing is part of the program to ensure no failed tests. It is more plausible that Newman beat the system rather than he gives great motivational speeches which put teams like Alabama, Clemson, and NDSU on top of their respective levels of play. I am drawing on my own conclusion from what's our there and the inability of NDSU or the Robbins to name the substance (and the levels found). As someone mentioned, if caffeine, just say it and you'd have most people on your side against the NCAA. I highly doubt caffeine. Bottom Line - What substance was/is being used widely among the team provided by a trusted part of the staff, that actually by NDSU's interpretation was not part of the staff because Klieman was paying Newman from his own salary? (I can't verify if true or not but open records must either show Newman or not on the payroll) Why didn't NDSU pay Newman directly?
  2. I am drawing my own conclusion based off information available, my past experiences, and sources. The article itself has 2 sets of so called "facts". So which are you picking? (Changes daily for you guys, I know)
  3. From Article 1 - Part of North Dakota State and Alabama's programs, Newman entered this past season working for the two reigning national champions of the FCS and FBS, respectively. The Bison entered the season having won six of the last seven FCS titles, while the Crimson Tide had won five of the last nine at the FBS level. Both made it to their title games again with undefeated records. North Dakota State, with Newman on its sidelines, went on to win its seventh title in eight years. Alabama, however, fell in a lopsided game against Clemson. From Article 2 - Clemson athletic department managers immediately started asking questions in-house after three football players tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug ostarine just before the Cotton Bowl. From Article 3- Recently, Ben joined Clemson Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney to kickoff Jon Gordon’s Power of Positive Summit that included Tony Robbins, Michael Hyatt, Lewis Howes, Tamika Catchings, Andy Andrews and other great speakers from around the world. Ben also serves as the Performance Coach for the record setting 5-straight Division I National Football Champion North Dakota State Bison. Alabama - Ben Newman NDSU - Ben Newman Clemson - Ben Newman (I'm sure Sabin is pissed about this one) It's pretty easy to connect the dots. Has anyone else noticed that Clemson couldn't hang with the big boys then Ben Newman shows up. Sure, you have to put up with his speeches and raw raw bull crap but the guy has the goods, that's for sure. Clemson has gone so far to say it was food tampering by a 3rd party!! At NDSU, one article and barely a follow-up. No one serves up Ben, I guess he's that good.
  4. I don't recall UND bragging up their internal piss test protocol like SU. With budgets so tight, why have an extensive $$ internal testing program? Is it all sports or just football, which could be more telling if it's just football. But we'll never really know with the media in Fargo. You guys cover and hide things so well it makes the Clintons envious!!
  5. Is ostarine a steroid? Acts like one without the side effects. I understand why guys take it. My personal belief is this is what SU takes. I am not sure this is in 'Clean Victory' or if Ben Newman even discloses what's in his drink. I believe Newman knew the testing and his dosage passed the drug tests. This is why SU tests on their own, to keep under certain levels. The kid just took too much, got busted.
  6. 2020 Football Recruiting - Overall, the recruiting process is becoming more accelerated each year. 13 commits and over 2 months away from watching a snap of their Sr High School football season. Everyone praises the early commits but we need to have some room for the players still progressing. Or, what's the out if an early commit lays an egg or becomes a bad apple? If FBS and FCS fill their classes before the Sr. season DII programs will love it!! Then, we'll see more top talent at the DII level and everyone will be scatching their heads wondering how guys are missed.
  7. I hope he is!! I heard he tested well!! I am sure "Sleepy Randy 'Always Late to the Party' Hedberg" will be at his house this weekend with a couple packs of sparklers.

    2019 Season

I love it!! The start of college football is so epic because week #1, everyone is undefeated. As players and 'extensions' of players (family) this is the expectation, run the table. If the players aren't thinking this, might as well not put the pads on. See you in GF!!

    2019 Season

I don't recall many 1 and 3 step passes in the past, is this a trick question? You've been non stop mad crushing about a dominate O-line, it's unhealthy to obsess about it.....ha ha!!! All I am saying is you play with the guys you have. Danny can help the O-line out simply by his approach to offense.

    2019 Season

You have to include catching the ball, especially when a short pass is 'equivalent' to a run play. Drops kill drives. We will have a series of plays that to be honest, the O-line doesn't really need to block that much. It's called getting the ball out quickly. The seven step drop with 4 seconds of perfect pass protection passing scheme has left the building.

    2019 Season

Actually, the old timers had some pretty tough Big 10 teams on their schedule. So hardest schedule in history is a stretch but in recent history debatable. 2019 looks to be pretty salty.

    2019 Season

Is it easy to look at the schedule as a whole and crap your pants.....luckily we take things day by day and even that might get us looking too far ahead. If we focus hour by hour and put our best effort forward I think we can do better than what most are thinking. I agree it's the hardest schedule in program history.

    2019 Season

I think what we'll see is different players each week having a lot of success. By his own definition of offense the Fruend system will take our best players in the best match ups and attempt to exploit it. That might be Mckinney scatting around one game, JJ pounding the next with O line push, the Jets on the outside the next, and Gordon with his mix of skills the following, and even the TE position should see a break out of sorts multiple games. So I expect things to be 'somewhat' rounded with one of the aforementioned outweighing the others and being the key to our success each game offensively. We will no longer apply an offensive blanket philosophy and run it out regardless of the defensive scheme and personnel. Also, the notion of balance offense being 50% run and 50% pass is 50% stupid (Mike Leach) will ring true this year. A short pass or series of short passes could easily take some carries away from the RB's, but with them still involved.
  14. About 1.73 meters-
  15. Why wouldn't I??
  16. Rudy would be all over this kid and his development as a blocking TE.........moving on I hope Danny can land the guys he wants based on his vision that so far, is just a vision. But I have a lot of confidence in the offense under him.

    2019 Season

A huge negative with the FCS poll is losses don't seem to bother ranked teams much and 'good' losses won't even drop a team at all, so that makes it hard for teams to move up. So I'd rather have a spot at the table to start.

    2019 Season

Norther Iowa is way too low at 17. They can't start there and have 6 losses and make the play-offs......or can they!!

    2019 Season

I think Griebel is an option. And you forgot Gordon. And the freshman coming in could surprise, too if healthy as I know he's coming off a knee injury. I don't think the situation is totally bleak but I am bummed about Otis.
  20. As of this very moment in time the UND Side would have 2.0 (or the GPA to be eligible, maybe it is 2.5) NDSU side has to have Ben Newman slamming a "Clean Victory" But, I suppose a broader look will be required.

    2019 Season

A lot of football players are eligible so they can/could play, take that away and what's the point. Maybe I was with a bad student/athlete group but for the most part, guys could barely stomach the student part of student athlete. You just have to man up and get it done Otis, like many have done before you.
  22. $50,000 is a known settlement amount to file a lawsuit on big institutions or business. Most career criminals and deadbeats are aware of this, but most 'Slip' in parking lots on ice in the winter. This guy is an innovator, opening the market to slipping year round.
  23. I'm shocked!! Still leading Hedberg to his recruiting class. There isn't a scenario in which a son of a fairly high profile SU player would go to UND. This was all tactical.
  24. It's not a zero sum game. When we offer a guy that will probably go to NDSU it ensures NDSU pays for that player instead of loading up with very talented PWO players. A perfect example is the Satter kid. I bet he goes to NDSU. But, since we were on him early and sounds like he's interested in UND it forces Randy "Always Late to the Party" Hedberg to roll out of bed and offer the kid that would have went to SU as a PWO anyway.
