Normally I'm the eternal optimist when it comes to this team, but I even have to admit that I have serious reservations after today. I wasn't able to watch, just listen on the radio, but they made it sound like Pattyn looked furious when he came back to the bench towards the end of the game, and it was strictly at the rest of the team. I have a bad feeling that we have important players on this team that seem to have cashed it in, I'm looking at you 24,9,15,27, and that can't happen next weekend.

Game planning comes from the coaching, desire has to come from within. These boys are lacking some desire this weekend. Maybe they need to be shown .6 over and over again all week.

Maybe they better turn the heat up in the Ralph this week in prep for Fargo. Get some slushy ice, because from what I've seen, Scheel's isn't going to be any better and they'll be one and done next week if they play like this.

Maybe it was my overall love of Ben Blood, even with his hot headedness at times, but I've been extremely frustrated with J. Schmaltz since he came to UND. He plays soft, except when his brother got hurt, and gives up on plays way to often. We have to many solid players watching the game for someone to give half assed efforts as often as he seems to. It seems whenever I see a defenseman mistake lead to a goal, I see 24 in the vicinity. I'm not going to pretend I understand all the nuances of the game, I just feel he should be better than he seems to be.

You can then tell them it was the conference that was dissolved because it was winning to many of the championships.

I took the entire week off just in case. Was originally planning on making the trip if they made it, but don't think that's in the finances anymore.

I don't see it like that this year, mostly because two lines did all the scoring with one line being relied upon heavily. This team, top to bottom is more polished. It may be the first line that buries you, it may be the fourth line, and that brings quite a bit of confidence. Only thing I do worry about is if Zane has a hiccup in net, his play is the key.

Speaking of things for sale, does anyone have any signed 8x10's of guys in their Sioux stuff they'd be willing to part with? Trying to work on making a collection and have been using EBay, but they are few and far between. As of now I have Toews, Oshie, Frattin, Finley, Kristo, and Rowney.

Agreed 100%. My wife was really upset when the conference split, but I was hopeful just because of the series I'd seen with Denver and with Omaha. I knew there would still be some heated games, not quite to gopher level yet, but I believe it will get there.

I couldn't agree more. What a terrible time to have the injury bug hit. If Nick is gone for any amount of time, that's the top two center icemen. Ouch.
